Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate

Excellent location within Harrogate Room was an excellent size and recently renovated. The corridor was being upgraded during our stay but we weren’t disturbed by any of the works. There was a sign telling us this was happening so it wasn’t a surprise. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Harrogate

Cedar Court Hotel is a beautiful building within walking distance to Harrogate centre. It is far enough our to have garden and park views, and to have its own parking, but close enough to walk into Harrogate in 10 minutes. There are a range of room prices and size options. We stayed in a deluxe king. The room was modern and had recently been renovated. It was clean and had all the facilities yoy expect from a higher end room: coffee pod machine, kettle, complimentary snacks, comfy king bed, modern shower, iron, hair dryer and plenty of plug sockets. This was our second visit and we would stay again. Only complaint was the gentleman on reception was lacked any sort of customer service. He was not unpleasant, rather there was no greeting, no welcome, no thank you. When we checked out and returned our key card, usually at a hotel someone says 'we hope you enjoyed your stay', or 'have a nice day' or even just a 'thank you'... but nothing.

Booked to attend an exam nearby (5 min walk). Room nice and big, had everything we needed. Check in check out quick and easy, parking £8 for 24 hours. I asked for a quiet room but definitely was not quiet there was a private function going on with very loud music which didn’t with being prepared and well rested for an early morning exam on Saturday.

The hotel has a beautiful restaurant and the breakfast was excellent, the corridors are going under a re vamp but didn’t have any impact on our stay. Overall we had a great stay 😀

Unhelpful staff - when you can find them. The reception is almost constantly unmanned. Restaurant was booked until 9.30pm on a weekday! I had not been asked if I'd like to book ahead, which I should if they knew it was going to be extra busy. As a resident of the hotel, surely I should be given this option. The restaurant manager was exceptionally rude about it and uninterested in helping. The only reason I actually got any food after a long day at work was because a barman overhead and advised me I could eat from the same menu in the bar. The restaurant manager had not suggested this or any other alternatives. He was brusque and rude. The man on reception the following day (18th March) also needs some serious training in customer service. I required a VAT invoice for my accounts but he was uninterested, unprofessional and should never be in a customer facing position. With a new client, I am now a regular visitor to this area but will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. The bedrooms are quite tired and could do with a refurb but it is the attitude of many of the staff that has entirely put me off and therefore I will be taking my business elsewhere and would suggest others do the same.

Standard room  stayed in much better four star hotels  Towels need upgrading  no bottled water provided which you would expect sadly will not be returning

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the only downside was the distance as we do not have a car but we quite enjoyed the atmosphere and the hotel itself.
