The reception staff were not friendly or polite. The duvet inside room was dirty and when I mentioned it to reception staff no apology and simply said will send housekeeping up. The carpet was dirty. The hot water takes 15-20 minutes to heat up in the bathroom due to old plumbing. The interiors were dingy tired looking and cold just like the reception staff. Not a pleasant experience

Lovely hotel ticks all our boxes especially ramp for wheelchair users , location, value for money, size of rooms etc. Love the lovely deco throughout out too

Stayed for 4 nights lovely hotel nice old building could do with a bit of TLC in some places. Very clean very good food and excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Will be staying again.

A gorgeous grand dame of a hotel - maybe a little tired, but gorgeous building, large room, super clean, very friendly and great location. We will definitely book here again.

Good room but needs a small fridge for travellers coming to stay for a while

Not one friendly face throughout our stay. Live entertainment twice told by staff member to sing lower whilst actually singing and this at pre 22.00 hours. Free car parking and walkable for an average person into the town. Cleaners left hand written notes on the bed on things cleaned and changed after previous occupants left. Reception uninterested in this scenario and became rather stroppy when informed. Will not be returning as we are embarrassed we took friends there.
