We stayed here for a visit to the festival of wheels. Not sure what we expected to find from the outside, but what a pleasant surprise. Spacious and comfortable rooms, with a dining area and accessible fridge. Made to order breakfast available in the morning, or simply use the amenities provided to feed yourself. We will definitely return.

Friendly staff, very good freshly made breakfast (for a decent price). Clean and good sized rooms for the number of people. It’s above a supermarket but it’s still quiet. There is a nice park across from the hotel next to the sea where you can go for a nice walk. But parking may be bit limited because the parking lot is not too big. Good experience.

The worst noises experience ever. People drunk and shouting outside, cars and dogs barking - as if then are in the room. Doors closing very load throughout the night. Unable to sleep most of the night. £86 for a terrible night's sleep. You maybe better off sleeping in your car seriously.

Found this place totally by fluke when trying to find a cheap and cheerful place to stay for a night. I called ahead to ask about parking and was advised of the private car park opposite. Katie who greeted us at reception was really friendly and helpful. She actually showed us to our room which is a first for us having stayed in many hotels over the last 2 years. She also told us some history on the place and about boat trips to Felixstowe. The room was in the basement and had no window but it was what you would expect for a cheap hotel. It could have done with a bit of an airing and there was a ball of someone’s hair behind the door but the shower room was clean, so was the bed linen. There was an outside area for smokers and a lounge/tv room and kitchen we had use of

Stayed to visit friends - large and very comfortable room. Spotlessly clean with tea/coffee facilities, tv and toiletries and great location just opposite the park and the sea with free parking. Sonya who runs it is a lovely lady. Thank you !

For £70 per night + £7.50each for breakfast we felt it was over priced there was nowhere to hang your clothes and when placed on the chair the white/cream from the wall came off on to the clothes, the fire exit light was so bright it reflected into the creepy mirror on the ceiling and made it hard to sleep and if you have the window open you stand no chance of sleeping as the language was offensive into the early hours of the morning😬

We booked at the very last minute last night due to booking the wrong date at another hotel. We reserved the king room, which suited our needs. We however were surprised that we were put right next to the stairs. and were worried about the noise, but trusted it to be okay. However the noise at the front of the building was extreme, even after the shop closed, there was a girl that stood outside talking very loud and arguing till around 1130pm which in itself is unacceptable When that finally passed around 1 or 2 am the doorbell went, which literally can be heard in our room as the doorbell is in our room? again waking us up as it happened a few times! Then it must have been a family that had the room next to us, and I think the man must have got back, but from 2am to around 4am it was children shouting and playing, then from 5am there was a dog barking. I must have slept around an hour in total. I stay in hotels literally weekly, and this is in my top 3 worst sleeps I have ever had in any hotel or guest house. What started as a nice stay quickly felt as if we were in some sort of halfway house due to the other guests!

On a day where there were train strikes preventing me from travelling to london from Harwich International with my cat, the staff were gracious enough to wait 10 minutes past closing to allow me to arrive for a last minute booking. The lady waiting for me at reception was lovely, and the room was very nice for a last minute booking. There was an additional 10 pound fee as a pet policy, but in my opinion that is totally OK!
