Magnolia Inn

I walked up to check in. Got my key and injured my room. I was hit with the fumes of cigarettes even though I am a non-smoker and did not request a smoking room. The evidence that it was a smoking room. It's clear in the pictures there were ashes on the headboard on the tables on the floor. Despite my better judgment, I was going to give it a chance. First thing I wanted to inspect was the bed so I took apart the covers and the sheet to check for bed bugs. Surprisingly it was clean. I went and checked the bathroom. While old, it could do the job. I decided on a second inspection of the bed. I lifted the mattress just to see. Lo and behold, there was a half used bottle of liquor and a baby pacifier. After seeing the liquor bottle, I decided to go get another room so I went downstairs and asked for a different room. We walked into the second room and it again reeked. We looked around and tried to get the door open. I was dropping my daughter off at college so she was with me at the time and we both tried to get the bathroom door open with no luck. It was completely jammed. I went back to the front desk and at that time decided we were done with them and told them we were going to try to get a refund through the booking website we went through. It's disgusting and ridiculous.
