Paseo Habana
3.3/515 Reviews

Paseo Habana

Havana|2.15km from city centre
Second stay in 2023 at this very comfortable little hotel next to Centro Chirurgico. Since my first stay this year, the hotel seems to have changed management, but without compromising service or quality (although the posted rack rate has increased by approx 5x!). In general, the hotel is clean, quiet, and safe. Surrounded by a charming garden and terrace. Gated, with security. Air conditioning in rooms is great. Dining area not air conditioned, so need to sit on the terrace for a breeze. Meals were sit-down with choice of fish/chicken/lamb. The meals (although simple) are prepared by a chef and very tasty. Much better than many of the bad buffets at other hotels. Small bar area is now open for drinks in the afternoon and evening. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. All staff speak (some) English. Location is close to the many restaurants at the bottom of Paseo. There are numerous small shops at the bottom of Paseo in the same area where you can buy beer, liquor, wine in pesos at reasonable prices. Location next to the heart hospital means you can easily find taxis near the hotel. However, the cheapest transportation option is to walk down Paseo to the Malecon and wait for the children's train which makes a loop from the Plaza de las Armas to the Riviera Hotel approximately every 2 hours for 40 pesos. Hotel will currently change money at the official government rate of 120/USD, but you this is not recommended as you can obtain a better rate easily on the ”informal” market. Wifi for sale at front desk for 40 pesos/hr. Coverage can be a little bit spotty, sometimes you lose the signal. Other reviews have raised water temperature/pressure issues: these are not generally the fault of hotels. Water system in Havana has lots of issues.

Like most houses in Cuba, in our apartment is not Wifi service, but _if the guest want_, we will provide a 3g/4g cell phone and our guests can connect to the Internet via mobile phone, if they buy the mobile data package (7 Cuc is the cheapest package). It is a good way to be connected in Cuba. Note: The quality of 3G mobile data service is not good at this time in Cuba and it is not something that we can solve because they are problems caused by the saturation of users in the network. In advance, I apologize for those difficulties beyond our control.

NH Collection Victoria
4.8/545 Reviews
The best stay exparience I've had. Whenever I travel for work, I want the same experience I got at Hotel Victoria. The rooms where fine and cozy, the water was always warm, not my taste. I like cold showers. The staff: from Yvis, Zulio, the front desk lady and the Captain at night(the bald guy, he was amazing), to Edgard, Elizabeth and Ruben in the morning. You guys made me want to come back. There was a piano sir in the morning, I appreciate that. Food was great: dinner had a great appetizer, breakfast was very rich. Overall: I want to come back
Mystique Regis Habana by Royalton
4.9/545 Reviews
Having booked our anniversary experience and chosen Cuba as our choice of destination from our bucket list, we were SO thrilled to have picked MYSTIQUE REGIS Boutique Hotel by Royalton as our preferred choice of stay. This beautiful newly refurbished boutique hotel in the heart of Old Havana was perfectly located with access to all key tourist and local sights, vintage car experiences, eateries and of course a comfortable and super clean rooms to come back to after a long day of sightseeing! Beautiful rooftop for sunrise brekkie to provide you with awesome City views! This is a must for daily starts.. Now most importantly the Welcoming staff were the epitome of Cuban hospitality. Always there to help and guide no matter how small or big the problem like booking taxis, site seeing, restaurant recommendations and moreover endlessly trying to help us communicate with the lost and found airport people who lost our luggage sadly! But that’s another story! Big shout out and THANK YOU to the Mystique Team Kim, Arianna, the marketing butler team and all the lovely reception ladies and bell gentlemen! MUCHO GRACIAS for making our stay a welcoming, relaxing and warm 1st time vacation in your fascinating, fun and fabulous Havannah City! Keep Well! Best Wishes Segun & Lucy THOMPSON
El Encanto de Perseverancia
4.5/514 Reviews
Another great stay at El Encanto. Everything is just so easy and they really give you that personal service like you are home. It is great to be back in Cuba after COVID. Everything is back and better. El Encanto is perfectly located in Central Habana. Super close walking distance to everything... the Malecon, Vedado, Hotel Nacional, Habana Vieja and Downtown. The rooms are well appointed with flat screen TVs, full bathrooms with plenty of hot water and good pressure, they even have little refrigerators for drinks and snacks. Definitely recommend staying here. Very safe area to walk at any time. Close to many restaurants. The hotel can exchange money for your which makes it super convenient and trustworthy. They know the area well and have plenty of recommendations. Taxis are easily available. The hotel can call and make reservations and taxis. They speak English. There are many room types for families, single travelers, etc. Great views from the roof terrace as well. They also have beer and water to purchase. The Wifi is included and reliable. Oh, and the included breakfast is perfect to start the day.

NH Capri La Habana
4.2/565 Reviews
We rested in Cuba in April 2023. Booked one night in this hotel for 10.5tr. During the trip, it was necessary to shift the booking dates by one day (we really wanted to get to the Tropicana cabaret show). The Trip service fed promises to resolve the issue within 24 hours for three days. We did not receive a clear answer whether it is possible to change the dates of the booking. We had to book a second night for the date we wanted. This reservation cost 11.5t.r. the difference in price was attributed to exchange rate fluctuations. At the time of check-in, it turned out that the first night was paid for only one person, although two people were billed when booking. And the second night is booked for two persons. For the first night it was necessary to pay 85 €. In a word, I do not recommend using this Trip.com service. Now about the hotel: a huge disadvantage for the Russians is the inability to use cash. The whole hotel works only with cards. Russian cards naturally do not work, the Mir payment system has just begun to be introduced in Cuba. Accordingly, we could not use the restaurant, bar, pool. In general, the hotel is not bad for Cuba, the only thing that was very embarrassing was the peeled tulle. Well, right at all, with a tuft of thread on the floor.
El Viejo y el Mar

How when you love so much that small defects go unnoticed, or when you return home and the warmth of home seeps into your bones... that's how I felt when I arrived at the Hotel, the evident passage of time could not avoid the infinite magic of the place, the sea invites you to listen and you can feel the sense of belonging of its workers who receive you under the masks with a sincere smile that decorates their eyes, the pink ribbon for newlyweds on the door of the excellent poolside cabana was a Exquisite surprise, the food was simple, but so well prepared that each bite was an invitation to tour the site full of history and life... in these times when peace prevails and we have learned to value what really matters, visit The Old Man and the Sea has been an enriching experience that I will never forget, I just think about going back and sharing with everyone what my stay there made me feel... just put your heart in neutral, the place and professionalism or the people who work it will take care of making the time memorable!! ❤️
