We had a superb stay at The Old Manse. The hosts are welcoming with generous hospitality and graciousness. We had a beautiful bedroom/bathroom. And an incredible breakfast. Along with the other reviewers, hands down, we are happy to recommend them with 5 stars.

Everything was lovely, peaceful, and had beautiful scenery. Paul and Stuart could not do enough for us during our stay. It was delightful to see the horses in the morning as they came to greet us, and the dogs were absolutely gorgeous. The welcome pack was a nice touch, featuring homemade biscuits and eggs from their chickens. We couldn't find anything to fault; we will definitely be back.

We recently had the good fortune of visiting this wonderful wee find. The glamping pod was absolutely tremendous. The cleanliness of the accommodation was second to none and the thought that has been afforded to the "little things" is outstanding. In addition to the bed being potentially as comfortable as the one we have at home, and the gorgeous night sky, we will most certainly be dropping by again! Horses were beauties too!! Much thanks ;)

This was 5* quality in perfect surroundings with excellent hosts. We stayed in a glamping pod and the pictures probably don't do them enough justice - you will be more impressed on arrival. Paul and Stuart have really thought of every little detail and are extremely nice hosts - even offering for us to visit the main house for Breakfast (quiet time of year, but well worth asking if you could during the busier months as the food was exquisite). We stayed towards the end of Jan in Freezing/Stormy conditions, but everything worked perfectly (hot water, underfloor heating, all electricity etc.) and the general communication from the hosts was excellent throughout. Would 100% recommend, and we would ideally be able to visit them again in the summer months! (little things they thought about: firewood and milk on arrival, electric blanket for the mattress, asking for arrival time to turn heating and lights on, and to grit the driveway, all utensils to be able to 'live' there - just bring your own food!, a folder with 'how-to' for everything in the POD and local area, WhatsApp to answer any questions immediately).

The glamping pods are tucked away from the main house surrounded by fields. Each pod has its own garden area with seating and a fire pit, perfect for evenings under the stars. Inside the pod are thoughtful touches which make this trip one we will remember. A little basket of dog towels and dog biscuits for our puppy was a nice surprise, as were the fresh eggs, milk and home made custard creams for us. The bed was really comfortable and good quality linens added to the sense of luxury. Space inside was used very well and there is a large walk in shower and nice soaps. The kitchen area has everything you are likely to need and the whole pod was spotlessly clean. The deck is partially covered so even if the weather is not perfect it is still possible to sit outside and listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy the fresh air. A nature hedge has been planted between the two pods and it won’t be long before this is filled with birds and insects. We had breakfast in the main house as we had stayed there before and knew this was a really pleasant experience, we were not disappointed. The hosts have put lots of care and attention into both the b and b at the old Manse and the glamping pods and this shows in the level of comfort, cleanliness and those little extras that make a place linger in your memory long after you have returned to “normal” life.

Very unusual to write a review on arrival, however this is our second visit. Beyond exceptional. Every consideration given to your individual preferences you shared on booking and catered for. All you dietary requirements are meet. Nothing is a problem. Setting is exceptional. Rooms are just so spacious and comfortable. All sorts of special treats. I know it's not on the main road network but if you want to experience calm, nature and rest, come here. That's all. We will come this way again.

Fabulous. Atmospheric manse nestled below the old church. Wonderfully relaxed and calm, furnished beautifully and in character. Our hosts were charming and welcoming (tea and a cake offered in the comfortable drawing room. It was no surprise to find a well appointed, comfortable room Breakfast table beautifully presented to match the excellent fare, including a variety of home made jams, fresh fruit and a super cooked full Scottish Exceptional!

Where to start, only a one night stay but,,my wife and I were completely in awe of the house, the surroundings and Paul who went above and beyond of what I would have expected. Breakfast excellent, home made preserves accompanying a warm tasty breakfast, a leisurely stroll around a garden with an abundance of flowers just coming into their spring bloom.
