A very worthwhile visit.Within easy distance of the tunnel whether coming or going. Friendly and helpful staff,mainly young.Good dinner and breakfast.Will call again. Quiet rooms and very well fitted if you need the facilities.We failed to visit the Abbaye unfortunately

We booked this hotel based on reviews and quiet country location , we were not disappointed in any way ! Very welcoming , friendly , helpful in every way . Room was very large , scrupulously clean , large extremely comfortable bed , decent bathroom , , excellent standard . The food was very , very good and the dining experience was exceptional, aperitif drink , pre starter , service , and the atmosphere was brilliant just what you expect from an owner ran establishment. Every member of staff was friendly, acknowledged you every time . We will stay here whenever in the area!

It's in a great location just off the motorway to Calais and in a lovely park, with free parking, of course. We could not see that much of it - the trees mainly - as it was snowbound and very pretty! We had a nice room with en suite shower and all mod cons. The bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to leave it! Breakfast was included and laid out for self-service. The radiator and fan in the bathroom didn't work but that did not affect our stay. Management notified! It was very close to supermarkets - LeClerc - to stock up on essentials for England!

Absolutely the perfect stopover before catching the ferry back to UK. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and have everything you need. Make sure you book for a meal at the restaurant as the food is truly delicious. The staff are courteous efficient and make you feel welcome. I can’t find fault, it’s been a perfect end for our trip.

On our way to the south of France stopped off for a night. Wow. Tons of parking and made very welcome by the guy on the reception. Room 4 overlooking the countryside. Large comfortable bed. We also stopped on the way back. Ate in the restaurant each night and the last sip had the best meal of our whole trip. Veal. Breakfast very French but after all we were in France. On a whole a fabulous hotel and restaurant

The hotel is a lovely building in a lovely setting. Views right across to St Omer from the restaurant and patio area. Our room was in one of the cottages which was all fine and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which was all very tasty. The cheese trolley was amazing, so much choice. The only little gripe was breakfast. There was no member of staff on duty, it was a do it yourself buffet. Whilst nice enough, I was just expecting a bit more based on the excellent food the night before, maybe some hot options such as scrambled egg or omelettes (you could boil an egg but the water wasn't even on to do it). Would certainly recommend here as a stopover for Calais.

We have used this hotel many times over the years. It’s very well situated for travellers due to its proximity to Calais. When sitting out on the terrace, or dining in the large conservatory, there are fine views over the fields down to St. Omer. The rooms are situated both in the main building and in chalets in the grounds and are clean and comfortable. The room has both nespresso machines and pods and bottled water. Since Monsieur Retaux became owner of the hotel, he has continued to improve facilities. We stayed in beautifully refurbished rooms inside the main building this year. He and his staff give very friendly service. We always look forward to our evening meals here. The menu features regional, seasonal produce, beautifully cooked and presented. We loved the home made desert choices. There is also a good wine list and we’ll stocked bar. We look forward to returning.
