Scandic Meilahti

Very good location for Helsinki Ice Hall, but also not too far from central (20 minutes public transport). The breakfast was really nice.

The location was excellent for us, as we were attending a festival at the Ice Hall. Our room was clean and, although on the smaller side, it was cosy and comfortable. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from and lots of tables available, so it never felt cramped or overcrowded. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again if we return for the festival next year. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel and great breakfast BUT I was staying there as my mum was in hospital with an undetermined leave date, so had to book again when she was not allowed to leave. Even though I booked again the same day I checked out, they would not let me into the room until 1pm (unless I paid an early fee) despite the person behind the desk knowing my situation. So for me poor customer experience and not an understanding company considering how many customers must be there for same reason.

Good and clean. Near marathon start point. Only drawback is that it does not have a gym and sauna opens from 1800-2200h.
