What an excellent place to stay. We came for a family wedding and were made welcome throughput our stay. Hotel and staff were exceptional as was the castle! Food was put of this world, even for me who has coeliac so needs gluten free! Hotel shuttled us between the Vale and the Castle which was a God send for those wearing heels! We paid for a basic room, let me say there was nothing basic about it!! Huge comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom with a walk in shower, the usual tea, coffee, water etc, if this was basic I would never leave the higher grade rooms! Diolch yn fair iawn, thank you very much, it was a pleasure to be your guests.

We stayed at the Vale for a wedding we attended in llanerch Vineyard, the stay from start to finish was amazing, we used the Spa facilities before we checked in and it was lovely, we asked if our room was ready early and we were looked after By Someone called Garreth who was amazing such a helpful member of staff and he couldn't have done enough for me and my wife a brilliant and funny Guy who's customer service is exceptional, breakfast was lovely and also were the rooms, we will Definitely be coming back, many thanks Simon and Chloe

Had a fantastic relaxing half day spa and it was incredible! Felt very pampered with excellent service ( thank you Jason) and first class, professional therapies from Carys. Love the relaxation rooms and fell asleep in the floatation room nearly missing our afternoon tea! The Spa and Fitness have everything including pool etc which is being refurbished end of October. We doa lot of spas but the service here is exceptional.

My sister wedding was held at Vale hotel on the 05.10.24. The day went perfect from the ceremony in the beautiful setting of the conservatory,  looking out at the lush gardens and golf course.  Ideal for the photos.  We then had arrival drinks in the Salamanza bar, then upto the Morgannwg suite for the wedding breakfast . The day went perfect. Good food with attentive service from the events team. The General Manager Brian Gamble, announced all the speeches for us, which gave it a very personal touch to my sister and husbands special day. The room was turned around the band set up and we had the best evening party.  The evening buffet was plentiful  and the night went very well alo g with good service from the bar team.  We had a handful of rooms to accommodate the bridal party and a few friends. The rooms were very comfortable and clean which made for a good night's sleep. My sister had a junior suite for the 2 nights and gave her a beautiful space for her and the mother of the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in for hair make up and getting dressed ready for the wedding day.  Overall the day prior for wedding preparations and the actual day couldn't be faulted and was a successful wedding day which all guests enjoyed very much.  May we say many thanks to all the team for thier efforts on making the day a memorable occasion. Room was beautiful, food & evening service, amazing! We had the mixed grill for 2 & a child’s chicken & broccoli pasta dish for our daughter. The child’s meal was amazing value for money and could have easily been enough for an adult. Highlight of our stay was Gareth Jones! His attention to detail, friendliness & care was second to none! The food in the restaurant was awful we booked as part of a spa day we were served for starters. Bread stick. A slice of bread and dry slice of Parma ham which we sent back then main meal was dry chicken breast with 8 chips built like Jenga on the plate which we couldn’t swallow as sooooo dry worst meal I’ve ever had we didn’t eat it sent it back and walked out . Also it looks the part in there but there were dirty plates and cups left on tables crumbs over table and all underneath the table not what u expect from a 4 star hotel . Spa treatments were really good but they do need to clean around doors around jacuzzi areas full of cobwebs inside that look like they been there for years

The room and bathroom were good although a little tired- we’d booked a luxury room and that’s not what it was. There was no adequate communication at check in or information in the room, the staff seemed absent. We missed the breakfast as it closed early and we weren’t given the hours it was served. The room had tiny inadequate bath soap and despite asking for more none was delivered. The room temperature was very cold. The hotel seemed like a side add on to the spa and gym. The restaurant is cafeteria like, basic and functional. We didn’t visit the spa so cannot comment. We wouldn’t return.

A surprise trip on my birthday! We had a massage with Anwen and Caitlin and we both agree it was the best massage we’ve ever had! Also, James on the front desk was fantastic managing to get us booked in for a birthday treat! An all round amazing team! Thank you!

The spa treatments here are exceptional! All the therapists are so professional and James on Reception makes sure you feel really welcomed and valued as soon as you arrive. There’s a huge range of treatments from an hour to a day. I’ve just spent an hour on a water bed !!

I stayed at the Vale hotel for approximately two month's for work from Monday to Friday through August and September. Having not travelled away from my family for long periods I was anxious about being apart from them in a strange place. The moment I arrived I was greeted by Garrath who took the time to just chat and find out about me, he immediately put me at ease and from that point on we became firm fiends. He looked after me personally and he and all of the team made sure my stays were as comfortable as possible, nothing was too much trouble from making dinner reservations to using the spa, they took care of me and all the arrangements. They hand picked my room before I would arrive so I always had a wonderful view to come back to and relax after a long day at work. No matter who was on reception there was always a friendly face and warm welcome. I have to mention all the staff who are not customer facing working tirelessly to ensure the hotel runs smoothly, from the housekeeping staff who keep the rooms and hotel spotlessly clean (and in tea and biscuits 😀) to the excellent chefs, restaurant, bar, spa, maintenance, and all the others I may not have mentioned. You all made me truly welcome and you provided a much appreciated home away from home. So much so that we will be returning for pleasure in the not to distant future Thanks to you all see you soon. Shocking! Rooms need updating and you’ll be waiting forever for food in the restaurant we visited twice in August and had the same experience both times. Customer service is terrible and their complaints handling is really poor. No accountability from any managers higher up and response times are ridiculous

Had the absolute joy of getting married at the Vale resort last Friday. The location was magnificent. But this would not have been made possible without the help and support of the Vale staff. Grant (sorry can’t remember last name) for his attention to detail. And unflappable attitude. And to Garth Jones who professional attitude, his work behind the scenes was amazing. Kept everyone relaxed with his great sense of humour.

We had a great experience. We had decided to elope and get married with just our two children. When we arrived at the Vale, Garreth who was front of desk made a huge impression on us. He was so kind and went above & beyond for us. He honestly couldn’t do enough. The food in and facilities where top notch! Thanks for making our special day even more special. We look forward to our next stay.
