Premier Inn Hereford City Centre (Old Market) ★★★

"The Hereford City Centre Premier Inn is situated in the Old Market area, adjacent to Hereford Football Club's ground, across the road from a large Waitrose store and not much further from a large Tesco store, about ten minutes on foot from the Anglican Cathedral with its Chained Library and Mappa Mundi. My room was large, clean and quiet with no external noise to disturb my sleep. The staff could not have been more efficient, friendly or helpful. My unlimited buffet breakfast was well up to Premier Inn's high standards and kept me going until dinner time. This was my first-ever stay at this 3* budget hotel but I'll be more than happy to return here next year when the annual Beer, Cider and Perry Festival takes place once again on the north bank of the River Wye at Hereford Rowing Club."

"The man at reception was very unprofessional and rude, I was targeted from the minute I entered the building for absolutely no reason. I choose to pack my things and leave at 11pm, due to how he spoke to me and how uncomfortable he made me feel. When I choose to leave, I tried to speak to him to which he got aggressive, I asked for his name to complain which he refused. I have since emailed customer service and I am still waiting for a response. As a female, I’d suggest not to travel here unless you are in a big group or with a man, as it was scary and intimidating. "

"We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Sheila in particular is exceptionally well mannered. Old fashioned politeness. The fixtures and fittings are all of a good quality. The carpets are plush. The food is very tasty. The choice of food is very wide. Steve and Sheila are on hand throughout the day to help with enquiries. The garden is delightful. I particularly commend this establishment for having a Holy Bible in our room. Other places are less prone to let the guests decide for themselves whether or not to read this great book. All in all we are very pleased."
