"A fantastic team, incredibly attentive. A sublime place that combines: • conviviality in its small village setting, including Mimi's grocery store and even a sports shop; • relaxation with its wonderful spa and masseuses with magic hands; • sharing and indulgence thanks to their amazing après-ski (with a DJ on fire who got us dancing), their refined restaurant, and their magnificent lounge bar. Last but not least, the possibility of bringing your furry friends along, who also deserve to experience luxury. In short, don't hesitate for a second, take the time to spend some time at La Dent Blanche! A thousand thanks again to the whole team! Maude & Laeti"
Eden Resort Anzère ★★★
"Pro: - the rooms are spacy. - quick access to the slope. Con: - the room smelt weird. - I was expecting a queen or double size bed. End up with two single put side by side. - the mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were tiny and flat. - WARNING: they have a bar in the building so on the weekend they blast the music. We were staying on the 6th floor and the bar is on the 4th. Felt like they were blasting the music in the room next door until 1am. Couldn’t get any sleep until after 1. - breakfast starts at 7:30, when it really needs to should start a 7am, considering the fact that slopes open at 8am. All in all will never come back"
Hôtel Dents de Veisivi ★★
"Regarding the room, the bath towels were all frayed, the dust hadn't been removed from under the beds for several weeks, and the sheets had hair and fur on them. Had they even been changed? As for the meal, the mixed salad was small and barely mixed, the stew was decent, but the extra 5 CHF per person for what was already an ample portion of spätzle was a major disappointment."
Eringer Hotel ★★★★
" Our stay at The Eringer Hotel in Hérémence was nothing short of exceptional—but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the food. The kitchen team exceeded expectations, with each dish crafted to perfection. A special mention must go to the incredibly talented pastry chef, Isabel. Her desserts are a work of art, infused with patience, passion, and love. Her cheesecake creation is absolutely to die for—a masterpiece of flavor and texture. The apricot sorbet was a delightfully refreshing treat, perfectly capturing the essence of the region. Isabel’s chocolate salami was something entirely different and exciting—a playful twist that impressed everyone at the table. And let’s not forget breakfast. The buffet featured Isabel’s homemade granola, paired with her homemade apricot compote and a luscious four-fruit compote. It was, quite honestly, heavenly—a perfect way to start the day. If you’re visiting Hérménence, Valais, The Eringer Hotel is a must—and try Isabel’s desserts. A truly remarkable culinary experience in an idyllic place. "
Hotel la Cambuse ★★★
"I will wait for you in a place where there is no chance for us-Motans I ve arrived here on my Birthday.... Alone.Away from all the '' m as tu vu'' or' 'tu m as vu''(i don t really know what this means, i guess people who still have some money left to spend after St Trop), that mingle around in The ski resort where I live since 7. 5 years. I ve wanted to visit the Bains d helemence, for a few hours, then the hours turned into days, and the days turned into night, nights! This is what happends to all my plans, they drop, as my mind is curly, curly like my hair. About Val D Val d’Hérens i know a little:it s the Place where the second most beautiful mountain in Valais, actually in Switzerland :Dent Blanche is located, and yes, i m probably the only person that finds Dent Blanche more beautiful than Cervin, maybe because in summer the Snow simply does not want to leave the mountain, which is Fascinating. My top mountains in Switzerland are 1.Ober Gabelhon,2 Dent Blanche and then 3.Zermatt, in this specific order.Only after seeing the Photos of Thomas Crauwels you will understand why..... Also the Photos of Christine Travers - Petit Angelus (which by the way she sells on her private site at really decent prices) and the famous Alladin from Suen will make you fall inlove with this valley, and not want to leave. So the plan was to spend my weekend in the Spa, but time passed so fast, so I ve decided to book 4 nights in this valley. Eringer was way too expensive for me at these dates, so i ve spotted John s Lounge, a beautiful boutique hotel with nice reviews and decent prices, and a private Appartment in Hermetence. John s, i ve got to find later it belong to the same owner as '' La Cambuse'', the only difference is that "John s Lounge" has one extra star, so you get 4 star conditions, it is New(maybe 4 years) , it s modern, the beds are cozy, you get really good quality sleep, and it is quiet, very quiet... And some millions were invested in this place, which was a '' self service restaurant, with a disco down. I will tell more about this place in my next comment. At '' La Cambuse'' what was fascinating me was the story behind this place:a place born from pure sacrifice. For 8 years, his father worked at the building the Grande Dixence dam, in 1960,saving every hard-earned coin just to buy a piece of wild land in''Les Collons' ', the place where the Restaurant is located. During this time , it was a desolate, empty mountain with no roads, so the Comune of Vex after 8 years of work, gave them one single year(!!) to build their dream, or lose everything. It reminded me somehow of 'The Coccinelle' story in 1939 during the second War World in Germany..... . Smile smile smile Penniless but driven by love for his family, the owners father refused to give up. Using his own trucks and his meager earnings from Geneva, he bought an old worker's barracks for just 500 swiss francs. He hauled the pieces across the mountains to Valais, pouring his heart into co"
Aiguille de La Tza ★★
"Great hotel in Arolla, located on Haute Route and close distance to multiple restaurants, bars and bus stop. Easy check in, room was small but with comfy bed and sink, communal bathroom and shower. Food not included in stay, their pizza in the restaurant was quite tasty although service was extremely slow."
Les Chalets d'Anzère ★★★
Hôtel de Charme la Poste ★★★
"November is now over and i felt i needed a Break. Crans Montana is paradise, a little hectic and noisy in October and November, as a lot of work has to be done by Christmas, still my favorite place to live in the World. This year I had the feeling that there were more workers than tourists in Crans Montana(smile smile smile) , so I felt I ve needed to escape for a few days. Anzere was a nice choice:i know Anzere as on The Ski slopes I broke my leg two winters ago, and I knew this Restaurant as they serve really Big portions and the service was very polite.Thing is, I ve stopped for Lunch the day of check in and I was really not in The mood to drive, so i ve told myself:if the room they will present will be nice and the price fair, I stay, if not, i just eat and go.I did not even look at the Photos in internet, nor the comments. The Young recepționiste showed me two rooms, the hotel was empty that day..... It was wednesday. After seeing room nr 3 i ve decided to stay two nights, instead of one. A beautiful mountain style decorated room, very spacious(in Anzere most of the rooms are tiny, without a balcony) , with a huge bathroom at the first floor(you can see the view in the Photos. I ve really liked that it was bright, and had a small tv:i ve prefered no TV în The room to be honest, but that s me.The room also had a nice balcony, but the view was not to die for.The Best view for me was in The restaurant. Also, to my surprise, the room was very quiet, and the quality of sleep good. It was also sparkling clean. After my two days in spa and the Lumi lumi massage, my nights were quiet, so after 8 pm my lights were switch off till next morning. The breakfast is extra, 17 sfr or something like that , they serve really quality products (especially the cheese) , and there is enough to start the day. For me breakfast was fair, and my advice is to have breakfast here, as I Anzere at 8 am you don t have many choice to have breakfast..... Maybe a borring Sandwich at Migros. Your choice. I will let some Photos here, I know nowadays nobody reads comments anymore, they all look at the Photos. For New Year the hotel is fully booked, like all Anzere, but for Christmas you might still find a room here."
Hotel les Mélèzes ★★★
"My wife and I stayed at Les Melezes as base for a Naturetrek wildlife holiday and it was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious and really comfortable, breakfasts were delicious and with plenty of choice and most important, Claudia and Dani couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Thoroughly recommended"
