We stayed at The Royal Hotel recently so we could attend the local Morecambe Prom Parkrun. The hotel is in a lovely location with picturesque scenery and lots of lovely walks around. The hotel was spotless and clean (modern) I could not fault it, we booked in for a meal in the pub and the food was amazing (you have to have the steak) we will definitely be back for more. The staff were absolutely fantastic, Maddie who looked after us was amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, and we really appreciated this. Breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from. I would highly recommend and we will 100% be back in the summer for sunny views rather than snowy.

We visited the Royal for a late lunch today, following a walk along the cliff tops in Heysham. The food, atmosphere and service were faultless and we would highly recommend this to anyone who fancies delicious, beautifully prepared food which is a cut above the average without being in any way pretentious. I had the best fish and chips ever ( equal to the Magpie in Whitby) and my partner had the steak and ale pie which was a proper home made, stand alone pie with a rich beery gravy and delicious carrots and crispy kale. We couldn’t bring ourselves to leave, so ordered Tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding with our coffees and they were equally wonderful. The chef really knows what they are doing and hasn’t been tempted to over complicate any of the dishes. The prices are not low, but are absolutely fair, given the quality of the ingredients and cooking. We will definitely be back and would love to spend the night next time. 10/10

Food was excellent and good value for money all considered, mitchellen star food it's not but good hearty food it is. Not quite sure about a large glass of wine costing me £11, not a place I will be getting drunk in. I ordered the lasagne and my partner ordered the steak n ale pie, both where nice, plenty of filling in the pie as well, we had creme caramel deserts to follow as, as long as you ordered at least 2 course we got 25% off, all in all a great experience

Well what can I say exceptional servise was blown away with how well the staff were simply brilliant. Our room was very clean and more than adequate for all our needs. Bed super comfy and brilliant sleep was had. Breakfast was 5☆☆☆☆☆ The staff super helpful Lorn,maddie was 2 on that night and simply can't help enough. Looking forward to June we definitely will be back thanks girls made our journey a trip to remember

Called in for bar meal after reading good reviews. Lovely bar area, great atmosphere and delicious food. We had dogs with us and this was no issue. We have started to have holidays in this area and this place is definitely on our list of favourites now. We booked a table and I was glad we did as very popular place and it is not hard to see why. Lovely big car park which is round the back of the hotel. I note they have 11 en-suite rooms and we would love to come and stay here one day as it had a really nice feel to the place!

1st time visit to the royal on a lovely sunny afternoon. Got parked no problem. Food was great all had Sunday lunch and puddings. Place was busy and the food was great. Would definitely return and recommend this place. See you again soon guys.

We had a very pleasant evening at the Royal, a relaxed atmosphere even though the staff were working hard. The chef put together a great and different menu, which we thoroughly enjoyed, the food was hot, as described and delicious, the chairs extremely comfortable, and the staff chatty without being intrusive. Recommended.
