Hokkawa Onsen Hotel

The environment is very good. The room can see the seaside. You can walk to the famous Black Root Hot Spring and soak in the hot spring facing the Pacific Ocean. There is also a shuttle bus from the station to the small slope. The overall quality of dinner was okay.

The pick-up and drop-off from Beichuan Station to the hotel is worthy of praise. A bus arrived at the station very quickly. When we went out, we just had to explain to the front desk, and an employee immediately took us to the station. The room was not very big, but it faced the invincible sea view and it was worth it. Back to the price, the open-air hot spring on the top floor is first-class, but there are two things that can be improved. 1. The dinner is not as exciting as other hot spring hotels. The waiter has put all the dishes on the table early in the morning. When he sat down, he immediately lit the fire under the hot pot and started the appetizers. Before I finished eating, the fire went out. The boiled golden sea bream is the most delicious dish, the others are just average. 2. The cups for drinking water and gargling in the room are paper cups, which is a bit unfamiliar. But the overall feeling is good and the price is not bad. I will stay here again. 

I met three Chinese young men at the front desk, all of whom were friendly and enthusiastic. Between Izu Kitagawa Station and the hotel, as long as you contact us in advance, we will do our best to pick you up and drop off. (I contacted the hotel several times, and the people who answered the phone were all Chinese, and the communication was smooth.) When we checked out and went to the station, they helped us carry all our luggage up the steps to the platform. The Japanese shop assistants are also very friendly. The Japanese uncle on the night shift can't understand Chinese, so he will take out his pad and ask you to speak directly. After the translation, he understands it instantly, and the communication is still smooth. The room was very clean and filled with the scent of tatami grass. When the weather is nice, you must go to the hot spring on the roof of the hotel to watch the sea, the sky, the stars, the moon and the sea breeze. In fact, whether the hot spring water is good or not depends on how your skin feels after soaking in it. The hot spring water here is very clear and can cure all kinds of dry skin. It is more effective than body lotion. Izu Kitagawa is an unmanned station, and you can see the hotel facing the sea from the platform. I hope I will have another chance to enjoy a quiet and leisurely time here.

The mountains and the sea are in line, and the scenery is unobstructed. You must book breakfast and dinner at the hotel. It is so delicious and rich. The local seafood is very enjoyable. Basically, it serves four people, and it is worth the price.

Beichuan Station is an unmanned station, and there is only one convenience store in Beichuan that does not have all the goods. If you are staying for more than two days, it is recommended to prepare the things you need for these days. Don't underestimate the fact that the hotel is 700 meters away. It's scary to drag your suitcase there. Be sure to ask the front desk to pick you up (there is a Chinese waiter at the front desk) If you don’t want to stay in a private bath, you can consider other hotels. The facilities are lacking and old, and the service is indeed not as good as next door. I won’t say much about the strawberries for breakfast. Just look at the picture

The hotel has free pick-up and drop-off at Beichuan or Atagawa Station, which is about a five-minute drive. You can pick up and drop off multiple times every day by appointment. It is located in a quiet seaside town. The room faces the sea. There are 3 free hot springs. There is also an open-air hot spring adjacent to the door. If you stay here on tatami, you don't have to worry about squeezing into a small bed. It is very comfortable and the room is large. I heard that seafood is the only way to soak in hot springs in Izu, so I ordered a dinner priced at 10,000 yen per person. It was a pain in the butt, and the meal was so rich that two ladies and their children couldn't finish it. Overall very satisfied, a good choice for leisure and relaxation. There are several Chinese people at the front desk, and communication is smooth.

There are only two rooms on the first floor of the main building. Breakfast and dinner are great. The view outside the private bath in the room is superb.

The service attitude is very good, warm and distanced. A pure Japanese hot spring hotel experience. Especially the Chinese guy will help arrange the shuttle bus according to the train time.
