"We used this hotel to celebrate my mother's 99th birthday and my sister's 70th birthday. The food was truly Himi-quality! We were very satisfied with the fresh sashimi and the elaborate dishes that kept coming one after another. I secretly ordered a cake in advance and had it delivered to the hotel on the day of our stay, and my mother and sister were delighted with the surprise. The location was also fantastic; we could see the sea change color from sunset and the sunrise rising over the ocean was amazing. We would love to come back again."

"I was looking forward to the hot springs, but the women's bath was closed, so I couldn't go in when I wanted because the men's and women's times had to be adjusted. Also, there were quite a few restrictions, such as the indoor bath being unavailable and only the open-air bath being available, so I wouldn't recommend it to my friends. It was quite disappointing."

"The hotel is located by the sea, and enjoying breakfast and dinner with the view every day was wonderful! The chef put a lot of effort into the dinners; I stayed four nights and never had the same dish twice, and the ingredients were always fresh! Going to the public pool while soaking and looking at the sea was incredibly relaxing. I'm so glad I chose this relaxing hotel. They also offer complimentary illy coffee and ice cream every day. Highly recommended! 👍"

"There are buses after getting off the train at Himi Station, but tourists often can't predict the travel time! So we took a taxi for 3300 yen. Located on a small hill by the sea, the hotel was a Japanese-Western style place. The room was surprisingly large and even had a balcony; we watched the sunrise from our room early in the morning. The onsen (hot spring) was comfortable and beautiful. We dined in a private room; the ingredients were fresh. Overall, it was quite good value for money, except that it was a bit far from the city center. For the return trip, you can ask the front desk for bus schedules to Himi Station."

"Not quite sure why this is classed as a resort, despite that we had a very comfortable two night stay here. The location is right on the waters edge with excellent views out to sea and back to Himi.There is a shared outdoor bath which is available for private use, we enjoyed the experience.There is a whole place was spotlessly clean. All instructions and check in procedures were available in Japanese and English, a great help to us. I have no hesitation in recommending a stay here but with a slight word of caution; the stairs to the upper rooms are quite steep and might be a challenge for the less able."

"There was a guest house, but the room was large and beautiful. There are also amenities. I was able to spend comfortably. The shared toilet is clean, and I have hardly encountered it and there is no problem. I was able to have breakfast firmly. It was delicious. "The hotel is a 20-30 minute bus ride from Himi Station, but bus intervals are extremely infrequent, so you have to time your trip perfectly, otherwise you'll need to take a taxi. We went to Tateyama during the day and arrived late at night, well past the last bus. We emailed the hotel to book a taxi for us, and the whole process was smooth; the driver waited for us at the station. The hotel is located next to a small pier, and the rooms are spacious and very clean. Drinks are available in the restaurant on the first floor. The staff (or perhaps the owner?) were incredibly kind; they even moved the microwave from the kitchen to the lobby late at night so we could heat our food. When we left in the morning, the cleaning staff kindly took photos for us. Overall, although it's not cheap, it's worth the price, especially if you allocate time for the hotel during your trip; the sea views at night and sunrise are absolutely fantastic."

"I needed to make a reservation at short notice a week in advance, but my usual guesthouse was fully booked, so I found this inn and stayed there. The inn was very tastefully decorated and neat, with fresh flowers, not too expensive, neatly arranged in various places, making for a very refreshing stay. While there are no views from the rooms, there are rooms with good views that serve as a shared rest area, from which you can relax and enjoy the view. The women's bath is a little small, but some areas can be reserved for private use, which was a great idea. The meals were all delicious, thanks to the care taken to use high-quality ingredients. They had both fish and meat, so I never got bored and enjoyed them to the last bite. They even checked to see if I wanted seconds, and left the rice cooker for me, so I was able to enjoy the delicious food to my heart's content. However, the guest rooms are on the second floor, so you have to go up and down a somewhat steep staircase, which might make me hesitant to bring my elderly parents. I would definitely stay at this inn again."
