Although it said there was a sauna, there wasn't one (in the women's bath), and the open-air bath didn't even have any water in it, which was disappointing. "This is a classic Japanese onsen ryokan updated slightly to be contemporary. Nothing fancy for sure, but comfortable, clean and has a friendly, flexible staff. We had a very, very fresh and delicious dinner watching the sun set over Toyama Bay and the mountains. The onsen bath and outside onsen are very lovely and have that same great view. I would never hesitate to recommend this to a friend and look forward to returning here again."
