There was ongoing construction directly above our room. For all three mornings of our stay, loud hammering, drilling, metal banging, and construction activity woke us up from around 7:30–8:00 AM, making it impossible to continue sleeping.
My partner and I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights (9–12 July 2026). We booked through Trip on 2 July, including breakfast, and the hotel even contacted us before arrival to ask about our check-in time. However, they never informed us that construction was taking place, either before our arrival or during check-in.
On the first afternoon we heard some construction noise but assumed it was just normal daytime work. The next morning we were suddenly awakened before 8:00 AM, followed by constant hammering, drilling, and metal grinding after 8:30 AM. We messaged the hotel asking whether this would continue every day because we came here to relax, but our message was read and never answered.
After being woken up again the following morning, we went to the reception and explained that the construction noise had been disturbing us since the previous day and that the hotel should not operate as if nothing was happening. The staff apologized and explained that construction was in progress.
On the third morning, it happened again. We were woken up by loud knocking noises and construction workers running back and forth in front of our room from around 7:30 AM, followed by more hammering before 8:00 AM.
We understand that hotels may hesitate to mention construction before guests arrive. However, once we checked in, we should at least have been informed or offered another room away from the construction area instead of discovering the problem ourselves.
We came here to relax, but instead we were forced to wake up every morning because of the construction noise. This has been the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced, and the way the situation was handled has been just as terrible.
We also have multiple videos recorded throughout our stay that document the construction noise and what we experienced.
I sincerely hope the hotel will take meaningful action to prevent future guests from experiencing the same problem. However, judging from the hotel’s responses to other reviews, I honestly do not believe anything will change.
