We stayed at this hotel so we could visit the Art and Industry Museum called The Twist. The hotel is located in a pretty area outside of Oslo (about 45 minutes). The bed and room were comfortable — perhaps they should have flater pillows to choose from though. 🤣 There is a restraunt and bar. The breakfast was fine. Great service in the dining area for breakfast. The lady that checked us in was very kind and professional. Check-out was very easy as we paid when we checked in! The grounds of the hotel are lovely. The room had a TV and a small sofa to sit on. Lots of art work all over the hotel public areas so take a walk around and look at everything.

I stayed two nights at Sundvolden Hotel. The front office and restaurant staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend a stay at this historic hotel. The breakfast spread was amazing as well.

Slow service at the front desk although friendly. My bathroom lights couldn’t be turned off so getting a good nights sleep was hard, because there’s a window from the bathroom literally next to the bed. I told one of the staff members about the broken light switch but received no response.
Restaurant staff was friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent.

Asked for a quiet room and got the room just above the kitchen and exposed to road-noise. Not happy about that.
But the outdoor jacuzzi was great!
