GGuest UserMy arrival was almost too too aesthetically designed for this charming property in the Liwan district of Guangzhou. The light rains of May, the dimming light of the late afternoon, made me take photos with lowered light exposure ( as it seems for most of the reviews I saw prior ). The decor is predominantly wood and beige tones, making one feel like you’ve just stepped into a period movie set.
A quaint old house which belies the wonderful service of the staff. The service is warm and genuine from the moment the front door slid open. The bustling street traffic calmed to a hum as the front door closed behind me. Check-in was incredibly smooth despite the full occupancy.From the complimentary room-delivered afternoon snack tray, to the complimentary 30 mins in-property photography ( pls do it. No tricks, no charges ), the software more than compensated for this slightly off-beaten-path location ( it’s still near to the popular shui qing fang 水庆坊 ）.
Elevator is mid-level so don’t expect self-service direct to room access. But give the front desk a call, they will be up in a minute ( they did! In less than 60seconds ) to help you with your luggage.
Bath amenities are by Le Labo though I think the disposables could be a little more elevated for the room style.
Will definitely recommend for anyone in Guangzhou for a quick trip for 1-2 nights ( none work trip )

Location
Situated in an area that is starting to be gentrified but still retains old world charm. Photography buffs will certainly have a field day taking photos of traditional streets on one side and breathtaking Chinese style canals on the other. Located in a residential area, you will maximise your opportunities to meet/see locals especially in the mornings and evenings where the community comes out to enjoy the canals. Because it is a small boutique hotel, you can easily interact with hotel staff who do their utmost to make your trip a memorable one by suggesting itineraries and authentic places to eat. At night, it is absolutely quiet and is very safe since it is patrolled by policemen.
Amenities
For such a small place that doesn’t even call themselves a hotel, you will be spoilt by the Loccitane bath and shower amenities, the fully electric Toto bidet toilets, a rain shower as well as a handheld shower and of course a really good hairdryer that is a Chinese brand but works like a Dyson.
The architectural features of the hotel are photoworthy in their own right. There is also a lovely tearoom for you to sample tea. Learn about tea culture and you may wish to purchase tea from them. Reasonably priced for the quality of tea. There is also a traditional Chinese shop selling Chinese dresses, scarfs and small fabric handicrafts. Again, there are well priced and of good quality pure silk. The hotel collaborates with young designers to produce these clothes and is truly the only proper souvenir that I bought for myself.

GGuest UserThe room view is absolutely stunning, surrounded by bamboo groves. I really love this boutique B&B; with its limited number of rooms, it's very quiet and private. The welcome tea ceremony with pickled green plums perfectly complements the whole environment, and breakfast was also excellent. I was very satisfied with the housekeeper's service; their response time was perfect. The room facilities are also very complete, and they even thoughtfully prepared disposable facial towels and wet wipes for personal hygiene, which is very female-friendly. The entire hotel's design has that Zen style that I adore. The only thing that could be improved is that the bamboo plants next to the large floor-to-ceiling windows could be planted a bit more densely. Currently, people in the adjacent rooms or walking down the hallway can still see inside, so we couldn't fully open the curtains to enjoy the 180-degree bamboo view.

GGuest UserWe absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. We visited just before the National Holiday in October, and we traveled with our friends and their kids. The hotel accommodated our group of 15 and made everyone feel so comfortable.
🍦 the hotel staff gave our kids ice cream—they loved that!
🍺 we bought cold beers in the lobby and carried them out to the pool and beautiful grounds
🛋️ our room had a beautiful seating area with a majong table where we played games every night
🐇 the kids were so entertained by the peacocks, bunnies, roosters, and guinea pigs
💦 the hot springs were private and relaxing
🧊 the air conditioning in our rooms was strong, and we were very comfortable
🥟 breakfast was delicious - there was a generous buffet that worked well for both our low-carb friends and our vegetarian friends
🛝 the water park across the road was amazing! We walked there easily and enjoyed the great prices: kids under 1.5 meters were free with an adult ticket
⛰️ we got a Didi and in 20 minutes we were at Dafengmen Scenic Area where the kids splashed in the river and climbed the waterfall
Finally, and most importantly, we appreciated the care and support from the proprietress Qingqing. Although we did not speak Chinese, she communicated with us through WeChat and she helped us with so many things. She helped me put the ******* address into my phone to receive food deliveries to the hotel, she made ice for us, and she let us put a few items in the refrigerator to stay fresh.
We will return to YaXuan B&B for sure!

GGuest UserWe stayed 4 nights at this hotel and overall our experience was good. The first apartment we checked in was missing a few things and after asking the reception we received them immediately. Unfortunately after sleeping 1 night we noticed the mattresses were really tough and we could feel the mattress springs which hurt our backs in the morning so we asked if we could change and we did. We moved to another apartment on the same floor, which was the same but more comfortable. We had everything we needed during our stay, daily checks from the cleaning lady to replace the trash bags and give us new towels and bottles of water. Thanks for the management of the hotel for helping us out with everything during our stay. We really appreciate it.
The area is a bit outside of the touristic and central things but well connected with the metro. The city is huge anyway so you can’t avoid taking the metro so it doesn’t really matter if you’re 1-2 stops further away. We had lunch and dinner many times at the restaurants downstairs and we loved all of them.

XXiaozhaiStayed over for 4 days and 3 nights with a family of 4 adults while visiting Guangzhou. The location is accessible; you can walk to Ruyifang metro station within 10 mins. The unit is furnished nicely with a great view from the window. Cleanliness-wise, it is acceptable. Unfortunately they don't have a microwave and only have one bathroom, which brings little inconvenience when you come with family/a group. Otherwise, overall, it's good and worth the price.

AAmideeThis is a lovely place to go for a night or two to just relax. Also a pet friendly place, so that makes is ideal for me! The front desk are really helpful and you can add them onto your wechat to contact them directly anytime. They provide all essentials to be comfortable. I did ask if I could have a kettle for inside my tent, for coffee, which they were able to provide for me. Dinner options, you can choose chicken hot pot or the crawfish hot pot at their reception, which you can do yourself by your tent, or tell them you’d like to cook it in their dining area. Otherwise you can also barbecue your own things at your camp sight. It’s suggested to take your own food to bbq there, as their choices are limited. They did provide me with some sweet potato when I asked, and the chicken hot pot was really tasty and filling! The tent was clean, comfortable and has AC. We stayed in the smallest tents they provide, and it was perfect for what we needed. They have a swimming pool facility that is open from 4:30-6:30pm only. It would be nice if was available in the morning as well!! There’s not a lot to do in the surrounding area of the resort. You can do fishing, go for walks through the forest along the stream. I suggest to take some activity things to do like badminton or other board games etc. There are great play areas for kids, and fun slides are incorporated into the designs of some of the rooms. There are plenty different types of tent facilities and some have some really nice privacy looking onto the stream and have some outdoor hot spring tubs (plunge pool). The small tent porches don’t have privacy, but they are adequate for a short stay in nature. Getting there is easy by didi or hired car, getting back you just need to make your search on the app more wide because the location is a bit isolated from busy areas, but otherwise that’s also not a problem.

PPupuzhuappleI absolutely loved this resort, which came highly recommended by a friend! First and foremost, the front desk staff and butlers were incredibly attentive and accommodating, providing excellent service and always ready to help with any request. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the fish balls and wontons were particularly delicious! The resort grounds are vast, offering a wide array of activities, making it perfect for family trips. The shuttle service to every point of interest was incredibly convenient. Even though it rained during our stay, it added a unique charm to the experience. The air was wonderfully fresh after the rain, making it feel like we had stepped into a lush forest wonderland.

GGuest UserAn absolutely amazing stay! The location is truly unbeatable, just a few minutes' walk from Beijing Road subway station. It's incredibly convenient for dining, entertainment, and exploring – and you can even stroll along Beijing Road Pedestrian Street in the evenings. A dream come true for anyone who prioritizes location!
The apartment looked exactly like the photos, clean and tidy. The living room and dining area were very spacious, comfortably accommodating all 5 of us without feeling cramped at all. The host was also incredibly thoughtful, sending detailed check-in instructions beforehand, including passwords, Wi-Fi, and important notes, all clearly laid out. Any questions we had were answered super quickly, making for a completely stress-free experience.
I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Guangzhou, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip!

MM524091****The apartment was very clean and tidy, with a great sense of space that felt very comfortable. The location is excellent, right downstairs from Beijing Road, and within walking distance to the Pearl River. The host was very enthusiastic and provided great service. It was a pleasant stay, and I will definitely choose this place again next time I visit Guangzhou.
