Homestays in Turpan

A person drove to the grape ditch by himself, and chose Guanlan Mountain Puxi to spend a few days in a quiet time, which completely exceeded expectations! The homestay is hidden in the mountains and grape forests, the environment is quiet and healing, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable and the facilities are complete. The boss and staff are very friendly and caring, and there are some concerns about traveling alone, but here they are particularly at ease. In my free time, I blow the hair in the yard and look at the mountains and streams, and the whole person relaxes. It is very suitable for a person to relax. Next time you come to Turpan, you will definitely come back to stay. It is highly recommended to friends who travel alone!

After we encountered a bad experience with a desert glamping resort in Dunhuang, we were a bit cautious with Dune when we booked it. However, after I communicated with the manager in Dune via WeChat, I was more confident as he was very polite and helpful. He helped us to booked a transfer from Turpan Airport to Dune resort. As our flight arrived Turpan in the evening, it was late when we arrived at Dune. The manager and another staff came to the entrance of the driveway to welcome us and helped us with our luggage. They took us straight to our tent, and they upgraded us to a bigger tent, too. We woke up to this beautiful Kumtag Desert Sand dunes, right in front of our tent! It was so beautiful. As the off peak season started, we were the only guests there but the staff were serving us with delicious breakfast and dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful! The manager and staff were very attentive to our requests. One of the staff has helped us to arrange a local guide/driver to take us to the Kumtag desert for an exciting ATV ride and sand sliding. We had a great time. We ended up hiring the same guide, a pleasant and calm Uygur young guy to take us for some sightseeing and dropped us back to Turpan. I would say to anyone who is looking for a real desert glamping, please come to Dune in Shahshan near Turpan instead of Dunhuang.

The breakfast at Yuefeng Hostel in Turpan was a wonderful surprise! The variety far exceeded my expectations, offering a complete range of Chinese hot porridge and noodles, Western baked goods, and Xinjiang specialties like freshly baked naan, milk tea, and handmade yogurt. The seasonal fruits were sweet and juicy, and the dishes were fresh and exquisite, catering to both halal and diverse tastes. The self-service was convenient, and the environment was clean and comfortable. It was the most abundant breakfast I had during my trip to Xinjiang—highly recommended!

Our excitement started, from the moment, we met the staff at turpan train station, very gentle, n warm.. Then arriving at the lobby, full of warmth north Wellington smiles, of staff, then the welcome water melon n the melon, helped us release the tensions of train ride,.. Then the comfortable, lodges, ( 2 lodges A frame , very comforting, the breeze n singing birds n 2 big pots of herbal tea with fragrant flowers, n rose,..lots of dried fruits, resin, figs n more,, later on, in evening the refreshing, melon n watermelon, , later in evening free coffee n chocolate cakes,,.. Breakfast, simple n enough for a day of activity, all the items for dinner raglan, n fried vegetables, n kebabs, , one of the best as long as I remember in recent years.. Thanks to the English speaking staff for organizing our trip route n selecting transportation.. Staff thanks for helping me find the best barber for my haircut,, which busy schedules , back home in Japan Warmth n professionalism of staff are much more than our payment .. We had to extend our stay twice,..we already missing the place.. Thank you thank you

Absolutely amazing! The owner is incredibly kind, and the environment is fantastic. The owner even gave us watermelon, and their children are adorable. If you're wondering where to stay in Turpan, this hostel is the one!

It was so amazing 😝 I just wanted to take photos 📷. Friends and I took a day trip to Turpan and stayed at the Eight Wind Valley B&B in Grape Valley. It was amazing 👍 Special 👍 and unique, a very tasteful B&B with a large courtyard. The overall environment was very comfortable, clean, and the service was warm and attentive. I am confused how they got so many good reviews after staying here. First, they said offer they tickets to get into Grape Valley and it ended up no tickets are needed. Second, we went out for dinner, restaurants on the right side of the hotel, as the hotel suggested, are 3X more expensive than the normal price. Third, a worker at our hotel offered to drive us to a restaurant but we declined. Later, we found out that he was trying to take us to an overpriced restaurant with no customers. I guess he was looking for a commission from that restaurant. Fourth, we asked one lady in the touristy area, how far is the night market and she said 25 km, we checked on line it was only 7 km away. Even though the room itself was fine, I would advise against staying here or in Grape Valley altogether. Although a visit here for 1 or 2 hours is fine.

My experience this time was exceptionally good. The guesthouse environment is excellent, and they even offer unique sand therapy services, along with healthy, nutritious meals. The housekeeper was genuinely sincere and friendly, making communication easy and pleasant. The surroundings of the guesthouse are also overall very good, and the guesthouse itself is meticulously thought out, handling matters efficiently and reliably. Every detail is handled perfectly, making one feel very secure and comfortable. The overall performance is outstanding, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it.

Very unique B&B First impression: wooden pavilion, blue bricks and tiles, antique style Check-in experience: The little girl at the front desk was warm and thoughtful. I encountered a small problem when checking into the family room. After communicating with the store, she decisively changed the room and upgraded it for free. It was very heart-warming. My favorite: I like the big terrace on the second floor. It is accompanied by stars at night and shaded by ancient trees during the day. It is so comfortable to drink tea with my family.

Couldn’t be happier with the stay. Arrived early morning at Turpan rail station and the owner granted early checkin without a fuss. Super convenient given the tiring overnight train journey. Owner was also kind enough to arrange for tour driver for one day sightseeing. The area is awesome! Next door is a local vegetable and fruit shop where things can be purchased super cheaply. Bought a large watermelon (in season) and the owner lent a knife to cut it open. Delicious! The room is great; well appointed, clean, breezy. Only slight issue with the bathroom where the water didn’t drain fast enough so need to shower carefully to prevent overflow into the room. Overall, it was a stay well beyond expectation. The owner was super nice and helpful.
