Best Western Hondo Inn

The hotel was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable . The breakfast was good with all the normal stuff, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, hash browns. They also had waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea and breakfast bars. Price was reasonable. Overall a good place to stay.

Room was fine, your basic hotel room with basic amenities like a fridge and iron and area to hang clothes. Had a nice sized shower and bed was comfy and AC was cool. Breakfast was also pretty standard fare but much appreciated. Thrifty price too! Where this hotel shined for me was the staff. They helped me out of a hard situation flying in with weather making me divert to the very nice hondo regional airport. Having no Uber or taxis available was pretty much stuck and they actually sent an employee to pick me up and another took me back the following morning. Very friendly people and much appreciated stay.

Staff was very polite and so was housekeeping. They are very glad to answer questions and assist in anyway possible to accomodate all guest. I will put this place as a preferred place to stay in Hondy TX. Keep up the great work.

The hotel cost way too much for a dirty room. The woman at the desk was unfriendly and not welcoming. Our room was not clean. The carpet had massive pink-red stains. The sheets had large dark spots all over them. The bathtub faucet leaked causing mold in the corners if the bathroom. Parking was very tight. But, the worst was the humidity in the room, it caused the sheets to feel wet and sticky. Unfortunately, this is the only hotel in the area. If I am forced to stay here again, I will bring my own bedding and a humidity fan. There are a few good things: it's located close to several great restaurants and boutiques, the towels were clean, and the view from our room (facing the back) was beautiful, there was a small covered patio with table, sink and BBQ pit, the hotel has a good overall smell, and rooms had a fridge, microwave, and the A/C worked well in our room.

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding we were attending nearby. Our room was not made when we checked in at 330 (check in is at 3). There were no coffee cups or hangers in the room. I asked for an additional blanket at the front desk and was given sheets. The lady told me that her management had instructed her to give sheets if a customer asks for a blanket. So, I was not given a blanket. The following day, we were gone essentially the entire day and when we returned at 1030pm, our room was not made. Pretty terrible.

Horrible customer service. Correct rooms not ready as reserved and spoken about ahead of time with manager. Then the manager gave us keys to an occupied room! We walked in on a very startled and upset guest and I was very frightened and upset. Manager did not act the least concerned, nor even said she was sorry. Then she assigned us another room that she reassigned to someone else not even 10 minutes after she gave us the keys. If we had not been still getting settled and walking between our 2 rooms with the doors open, they would have walked in on us. SO UNSAFE and SCARY. We kept our do not disturb sign out and our latch on the remainder of visit for security! They obviously don't know how to book rooms. mediocre breakfast that ended early the first day. When my daughter requested decaf coffee she was told "well, I would have to make it..." to which my daughter replied thank you for doing that! The next day there was NO breakfast at all because they said the attendant didn't show up. One of our rooms, the shower temp control was broken so only cold water and when we asked about it they said they had no maintenance person to fix it during our stay. The AC unit stunk like mildew when it ran for extended time. We had to turn it off. The bathroom also had lots of little spiders in it.
