M1 Hotel North Point Reviews

The room and bed were tiny, and quite old and run down. The peeling paint on the walls made it look like it's seen better days. Paying over 600 RMB for one night here really wasn't worth it. You can't even get a late check-out; they charge over 100 RMB per hour for it. The room was so basic it didn't even have bottled water; I had to go buy my own. The duvet was incredibly thin, like a sheer sheet, so I was really cold sleeping at night.

There are disgusting smells at the main entrance. The room is not clean and has a wierd fishy smell when checked in (attached photos). The fridge in the room worked as a freezer and froze the milk and eggs to totally iced. Talked to the front desk, got a reply “maybe the weather gets cooler and the fridge turns into a freezer”. It’s the most speechless answer I have ever heard from a hotel front desk. Would recommend the Ramada nearby with a similar price.

First off, if you're taller than 175cm, I'd recommend staying elsewhere – the bed is too short. **Facilities:** The facilities are quite old, but they have everything you need. The wallpaper is even taped up. I really wish they'd get rid of the bedding that looks like the one in picture four. I brought my own disposable duvet cover and sprayed it with disinfectant, but I still felt itchy, which never happens at other places. Plus, the bed is too short; I'm 174cm tall. Realistically, no one sleeps with their head completely at the headboard; it's always centered on the pillow. My feet were practically at the edge of the bed, sometimes even dangling off. And the mattress is so uncomfortable; after the first night, my entire back hurt, it felt like I hadn't slept at all, and I was so tired. **Hygiene:** The hygiene is actually okay, considering the price. In fact, the lobby on the first floor is much nicer than the rooms; seeing the lobby, I didn't expect the rooms to be so run-down. **Environment:** It's located inside a wet market, so it feels chaotic when you step out. There's also a strong smell from the meat stalls. However, since I was on a higher floor, I didn't really hear it once I was back in the hotel. **Service:** Check-in was alright. It wasn't as good an experience as checking into other hotels. Even though it's close to the subway and convenient for getting around, I probably won't choose this hotel again. During the off-season, I've stayed in much more comfortable places for the same price.

Reasonable price. Facilities a bit old, but acceptable. Location is okay, convenience.

The hotel was clean and had good location. Accessible to all tourist spots. Near MTR, tram and bus stops. The room was okay. Not spot clean but okay enough for me travelling with family. Only downside was the heater. Okay at first but in between showering, the heater goes off. We went to HK on cold weather so heater was a must. Hope to fix it. Housekeeping ladies were very helpful.

Extremely poor, very unclean.

Hotel is accessible to tranportation. Near the tram, mtr, and bus stop. It’s also near the market so you can buy water at a cheaper price. It’s also near 7-eleven convenience store. Room has ample space. There’s no shampoo and soap, and toothbrush and toothpaste. Bed has a bit of a foul smell.

Hotel security is poor. Anyone can access the elevators to all floors without needing a key card. I won't be staying here again.

Washroom decoration is nice. The rest, are just above the average. If you don’t have special expectation you deserve what u pay for.

Great value for money, very convenient for getting around, and close to the MTR station. This is considered good for Hong Kong.

The room layout was sensible and comfortable, with AC, a TV, and all the necessary bathing facilities. Very cozy.

The hotel located at the middle of street, hard to see the logo. I got pretty good size of the room, looks clean but no soap, shampoo, lucky I only stay 1 night. But the water pressure was strong enough for refreshing. Overall good .

Very good hotel, and nice facility transportation so convenience nearby have a lot of shopping mall. It is really good really good.
