Great

It's basically a tiny room, like a shoebox, but it's very clean and the decor is quite nice. Having a balcony instead of a regular window (which is rare for these types of rooms) is a plus. The shower is so small you can barely turn around.

Old, small and unsafe. You can access the rooms directly from the street. No lift to 4th floor. Had to carry large suitcase myself. Room is small even for HK island standards. Exposed wires in the stairwell.

Amazing

Good location, with easy access to transport and plenty of restaurants, etc around. Room is quite small, but the price matches, so is absolutely okay for a few days. A reasonable bit of road noise. Check in is next door through their sister hotel and this building only has stairs. Go all the way to the top to access their roof terrace. Nice to chill in the evening. No main door road side, but felt safe.

Although the room is small, it has everything you need and is very clean. The room is tidy and neat, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the service is warm and thoughtful. The location is easy to find, making travel convenient. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent value for money. I will definitely choose to stay here again!

My teacher mentioned that the location is indeed valuable, and the in-room facilities aren't as bad as I imagined. However, there's a critical flaw: a complete lack of security. There's no secure entrance, or you could even say there's no real door at all. People can just walk in and out of the building freely. When I returned around 11 PM and left around 6 AM, the entrance was always wide open – not even a pretense of security. What's worse, all the sliding doors leading to the rooms upstairs are also unlocked. A random passerby could literally walk all the way up and stand right outside your room door. If you're a woman traveling alone, absolutely do not stay here. Then there's the dampness, which seems to be an inherent issue with the building's structure. It's not the kind of extreme dampness where water drips, but the moment you walk in, the air feels incredibly stagnant, with poor ventilation. The air conditioner is right above the bed, and since it's still early in the year, the weather isn't too hot yet. I can't imagine how unbearable it would be in the summer. I was assigned the smallest room on the entire floor, and it honestly felt no different from a prison cell. The bed was right up against the balcony door, making it incredibly noisy – much louder than I expected. I consider myself quite tolerant of noise, but here, it was noisy both inside and outside. When a group of college students stayed, I didn't get any sleep all night. Unless you truly have no other option, seriously, don't stay here.

Close to Wan Chai MTR station and reasonably priced. The water pressure is fantastic, making for a really comfortable shower. The front desk lady was very friendly too. A HKD 500 deposit is required. It had everything I needed for a perfect trip.

Second time visiting! Exactly same room for the single bed type. Although room space is really limited (7 m² maybe), it really one of my best places to stay for budget! It located at the center of Wan Chai, which it is easily connected to those CBDs e.g. Central and Causeway Bay. Just experience the building of old Hong Kong here. Thanks again in bring new life to these kind of buildings.

I returned to Hong Kong after a long time for a 10km charity marathon and stayed for just one night, choosing this hotel. I was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews online, but it actually exceeded my expectations. The room was indeed quite small, but for this price point in Wan Chai, it's excellent value for money. The decor features a thoughtfully designed retro style, and the front desk staff patiently explained everything to me in Mandarin, which was very clear.

The location is superb, with plenty of food and shops right downstairs. There's even a cha chaan teng (Hong Kong-style cafe) nearby that always has a long queue of locals. Due to time constraints this trip, I only tried their milk tea, which was absolutely amazing! 👍🏻 It's also about a five-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR station. The front desk staff were very friendly and even clearly wrote down the shortcut to the room. The room itself was very tiny, and the facilities were quite disappointing, to say the least! It's basically a renovated old Hong Kong tenement building, so it's best not to have high expectations, haha.

Perfect hotel vs the pictures and the objective of having a traditionnal Hong-Kong style night. The place is easy to find and the rooms are clean. I will come again !

The room was much smaller than I expected. They didn't even provide toiletries. The service was terrible, and they weren't willing to help guests with their problems.

hotel was well located within wan chai, and the soundproofing was good. didn't spend too much time on the balcony due to the weather but it looked spacious and inviting. staff were very helpful and I was able to leave my baggage after checkout. Despite the small room, the design was well thought out and I had plenty of space. However, the bathroom could have done with some tlc. The light was flickering and some of the tiles in the shower were cracked. There was also no hand soap available.

The location of the hotel is great and i generally liked the old but well maintained building. General vibe is cozy and i had a terrace with the view to the inner yard. Check in and check out was easy, but you need to check the check in instructions when booking (next building) The room was very small had some food smells coming in during the day time since it was facing the courtyard. The room was clean however with some dust behind the tv. The room was not as expensive as in most hotels, especially in the area, so i think for 1 or 2 nights this hotel is fine.
