Yesinn @YMT Youth Hostel

I was stuck and didn’t have many affordable options. They only had the 4 bed mix dorm available for my dates. This hostel was old, smelly and dirty, it’s a lot worst than the reviews. Personally, this hostel is a health & safety hazard (seems a standard in Hong Kong). The top bunk beds are so close to walls and you have fire sprinklers near your head. I stayed 6 nights, at this hostel, most people stay 1-2 nights, there are more locals than foreigners - which would impact your experience if you are western. I chose this place over others because it said it was a youth hostel, but on my final night, they checked 3 older Asian men into my room, it was just horrible. This is definitely not a youth hostel, and the area is questionable. If you are western and not booking last minute - please save yourself from the trauma and book a proper hotel. Hong Kong accommodation will be the worst thing to ever happen to you, especially, if you pick a bad hostel like this one. I have travelled and stayed in numerous hostels globally - this experience makes me not want to stay in a hostel again. Only positive is that this place is located on a side road off Nathan Road, so you’ll be in the heart everything - which is good for location, but bad for accommodation. I paid a lot more than what it was worth. So happy that this Hong Kong nightmare is over.

I had very nice stay. The common area was very nice and the host was always very helpful. He gave me good information about places to travel in hongkong.

Great value for money! The hotel was reasonably clean—not perfect, but definitely acceptable. The location is the highlight: very convenient, close to shops and the metro. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it for the price and location

The place was close to Nathan Road and Kowloon Park. The room was too hot. There were no curtains that give privacy to the gueats.
