Cleaning fee issue resolved by Trip.com where it was stated 22.7 HKD but the facilities changed 31 HKD I worked with Trip.com to fix the issue.. Trip.com folks understood the fix needed but the facility owner was personally mad at me and said directly to me that I was his worst customer ever and has never seen anyone bad like me.. The owner didn’t the bigger picture of customer experience but he’ll soon understand the discrepancy has nothing to do with the customer..

I have been coming to this place since more than 15 years ago, the uncle instantly and easily recognized me. For a solo budget traveller, this place is very ideal, in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. Good food around, easy access to MTR and Star Ferry, also in the walking distance for China Mainland ferries and Macau ferries. Basically this is a budget lodging, around 25 USD per night, you get a minimal amenities during your stay, but hellooooo, this is Hongkong, nothing cheap in this place, so you better get this value-for-money accomodations if you want to stay economically while roaming around

The front desk officer was scamer , i didnt recommend this hostel worst hotel I have been checked in smell so bad , service very poor additional charges , not recommended many insects , the smell makes you sick

1) extra hidden fees 2) check in at 7 pm for some rooms so you will be forced to upgrade for another room that's available for early check in as they said. I checked in at 3 pm and they played the upgrade game on me as i was tired and couldn't wait for 7 pm 3) no shampoo, no shower gel, no towels, no drinking water, no hairdryer, no boiler 4) no hot water when you need to shower

I used to share rooms with Indians and Indonesians, but this time I wanted to stay alone. The owner wasn't clear that the 176 room had no private bathroom. A black guy charged me 200, then made me pay an extra 100. When I lost my room key, they demanded another 200 for a taxi fare. The room only had two beds and a sink, toilet, showerhead, and water heater, but no private bath. The hot water switch was outside and had limited hours. Also, check-in was after 7 PM, and check-out before 9 AM. I barely slept all night. Oh well, it's Chungking Mansions, so it's an experience, I guess. But I'm definitely leaving a bad review. The owner is an old man who'll try to squeeze money out of you at every chance. I'm out of here!

The most terrible hostel ever. From reception to Room. Be aware to those who will book a room specially when you get a dormitory type. The old guy from the reception will scam you. He will tell you to “ you want a room with only 6 people inside and have a toilet” give me 50HKD. if not your room supposed to be with 20 people. Don’t fall for that trick. He is doing that to every person who book mixed room.

When u book in trip or agooda you can see the room is nice and clean!  Expectations vs reality is real! #scam! They put you in a small and bed spacer room! So that you decided to change a room and you need to PAY! again! No refund! No discounts!

Invoice said I had to pay 330.52 HKD at check in for cleaning, but the clerk said they got the reservation via *******, not trip.com and charged me 365 HKD, more than the amount in the invoice, which is outrageous. They charged me 3 % of the total for taxes, which I can understand but that was not specified on the invoice, nor the deposit of 100 HKD I had to make. About the cleaning, I saw the cleaning of each bed only when people leave, and people staying long periods never received cleaning. I was there almost 1 month. The cleaning fee is too high just to change the sheets on the last day, it is a rip off. Me included, many people complained that the pictures on the site and the real room are far too different. The room management doesn't exist and it is full of things people leave, things other people don't use thinking the owner is nearby. The room need to make clear what is in use. And what is trash, to dispose of it

Great value for money, very affordable. The room is small, typical for Chungking Mansions in Tsim Sha Tsui. The area around is lively with many restaurants, close to the MTR station and Victoria Harbour, offering beautiful views. The room is cleaned daily. Highly recommended for budget travelers!

Not good to stay. Its a trap. Read carefully the details before confirming. Not good experience. Not recommended to book. High stress level.

Folks, this place is a rip-off. They look down on renters and arbitrarily hike up prices. They charged an extra 300 RMB just to change a name! They're barbaric, unreasonable, and have hidden fees and inflated prices. Their attitude is terrible, and when I paid my deposit in RMB, they refunded me in HKD!
