Perfect place by a beautiful white sand beach. Location is perfect, walking distance from the pier. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Room is clean, but it’s small. For us the balcony and the beach view was the best part. I definitely recommend here for Lamma island.
I stayed here for a week on a whim, giving myself some time and space, and walking around Lamma Island. The hotel is next to Hung Shing Yeh Beach, a 20-minute walk from Yung Shue Wan Pier, and the road from bay to bay is relatively flat; if you have elderly people and children, you have to plan for half an hour. It is the only way to Sok Kwu Wan. There are no cars on the island, and it is tiring to ride a bike on the mountain road, so walking is the best. The hotel is a group of buildings, with several small buildings, and Bi Tao Xuan is one of them. On the second floor of the three-story building, the sea view room has a balcony, and the beach is outside. The first photo is a dancing girl taken from the room with a mobile phone, with a back view, which does not involve privacy. The scenery on the third floor should be better. My room is not blocked outside, and the view is wide. The balcony of the same room next door has a big tree outside, which will block the scenery. The opposite door has no balcony and no sea view. So it depends on luck. It is best to state your needs when booking to avoid misunderstandings and affect your mood. The room is not big, suitable for one person or intimate young couples, not recommended for sophisticated middle-aged and elderly couples. I hesitated to write a little secret. At 4 or 5 o'clock in the afternoon (winter time), you can open the window and enjoy direct sunbathing on the bed. You can wear whatever you want. There is a large semi-open-air restaurant outside the hotel reception and next to the beach. The selection is relatively rich, with Chinese and Western food. The service is enthusiastic and will take people into the room. The safe was locked (probably because of my own operation). The girl at the front desk opened it with tools and failed to restore it for a while. She actually brought another one to replace it for me, but I know that the original one is fixed, otherwise how can it be safe; fortunately, it returned to normal after a few more presses. I found a small gecko and told the waiter. She enthusiastically moved the bed to look for it, but of course it was difficult to find; the little gecko never appeared again. The homonym of gecko is to avoid disaster, it is a beneficial insect, generally not annoying, everyone can rest assured.
The service is very good. They clearly explain the situation of self-catering accommodation. They also enthusiastically recommend Tai O's attractions and food. They also recommend going to the rooftop to watch the stars. The rooftop environment is good and there are several tables and chairs. You can bring wine and snacks to discuss in detail... The room is not big. But there is a small terrace with a good view. The bed is a normal double bed but it is relatively small for us, and there is a little noise. The curtains do not block the light. It is a bit difficult for us who usually get up late😆 Overall, we are satisfied. Tai O is a Away from the hustle and bustle, watching the sunset on a river cruise is a very good experience. I will consider coming back...
The location is a bit remote, it takes 50 minutes to walk to the hotel from where there is a restaurant, so what is missing to take is a really big deal, and the dining service at the restaurant is a little pricey and the breakfast is not too rich, which I hope can improve .
Tung Chung - 2 nights - private double room
Expectation/Reality: this is the only provider of accommodation in the area so expectations need to be managed. They have the ability to essentially set terms, so the negative reviews here are likely from the folks who didn’t read the find print. The photos match the space very well. However the hostel reached out over what’s app a number of days before the booking asking for the $150 membership fee and $500 deposit, which I was not comfortable providing until arrival, however the hostel was okay with that.
Security: very good, there is a gate lock and a lock to the door, very safe.
Hygiene: overall very clean, no concerns.
Hospitality: the check in and out process is all over what’s app, so you are at the mercy of how responsive they are which can be frustration when trying to get in. Once you are in, it’s fine.
Social Atmosphere: good social spaces.
Overall: given they essentially have a monopoly on accommodation in the area. It’s a pretty good spot. I accidentally broke the key and they came and fixed it the next day, but took off $50 from the deposit. So handle the keys gently. Over pretty good place.
Very good, very bright! ! !
Unbeatable sea view, not scary at all! ! !
The big fishballs in Cheung Chau are delicious🤤🤤🤤
Very comfortable stay, however no slippers no toothbrush
The room is on the first floor, with a small yard outside. The overall environment is very comfortable. Air conditioning, refrigerator, and washing machine are all available. The boss is very nice, recommended delicious restaurants, and responded promptly to any questions. The only problem is that the house is a bit far from Rongshuwan Commercial Street, which takes 20 minutes to walk, and there is no means of transportation. It is very close to the beach and seaside bathing beach, which only takes five minutes. There is a restaurant on the beach with a good environment (as shown in the picture). Overall, it is highly recommended! The Thai food on the island, little thai by bee, is really delicious!
The location is good. Come to Lamma Island on May Day and order this homestay online. Very good, clean and clean, the location is right across the pier, I will book here next time you come
The West Park has a good environment. The traffic and location are very quiet. The inside and outside of the camp are generally clean and the staff are very friendly. The equipment in the park is very good. There are different play facilities and a lot of goats.
The host was very nice and friendly. He gave us a lot of info about the local attractions.
The room was extremely clean though, but the water flow was a bit slow due to low water pressure. We don’t think this is an issue though, because it didn’t affect our showers but just think that it’s something we need to mention about.
In terms of location, I would consider it as inconvenient, because there’s a 10mins walk to the main road and cars can’t drive through because there’s no road/ paths nearby the house. For drivers x you do need to park your car outside where about 10mins walk away.
In terms of cleanliness and quietness, this place is an extremely clean, and the host actually asked us to leave our shoes outside the room. Also, I haven’t found any dust or dirt in this house.
In terms of view, we were not arranged to a room with any views, which is kinda disappointed. As far as I know there were other rooms occupied at the same time, and they were on the second floor and third floor. Unfortunately, they are the rooms that have views.
In terms of facilities, we actually didn’t manage time to cook or BBQ at this place. Guests can actually use the kitchen and BBQ at the backyard.
