The Beach Villas at Ko Olina by Real Select Vacations
4.6/544 Reviews
This was the most amazing vacation! Staying at this Villa (B-709) was a dream come true. We had a perfect view of the ocean, the pristine lagoons and the beautiful grounds at the Ko'Olina Beach Villas. We spent so much time on the Lanai and just enjoyed the breathtaking view. The sunsets were spectacular! Meg was our main contact to make the reservations and answered my many questions. Our on-site hostess was Nicole, she greeted us at the front desk of the resort and showed us around the Villa and gave us lots of good information. Some of our favorites: Visiting the ABC Island Market - trust me - the food there is fabulous! We actually enjoyed the Prime Rib dinner on two different occasions. They have lots of yummy options that are very affordable. Some great activities in the area (for all ages) are: Train Ride from the Hawaiian Railway Society - only has train rides on a few days of the week. Of Course - Snorkeling in the Lagoons! We also saw dolphins (from our Lanai) playing in the ocean. We didn't get to take the Catamaran ride out of the Ko' Olina Marina, but it looked like it would be a great activity. Some of our family hiked Diamond Head and Snorkeled in Hanauma Bay - important information - you need reservations for both of these activities. We also visited a number of the beautiful Botanical Gardens and found new places to visit: Lyon Arboretum , Ho'omaluhia, KoKo Crater, Manoa Falls, and now our new favorite place to visit is Tantalus Lookout. (especially at sunset!) We really looked forward to going back to the Villa each evening. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and it has great air conditioning. The Lanai runs completely across the front of the Villa - from the Master bedroom, to the main living area, then to the guest room. The Villa had two nice sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice big dining and living room areas, fabulous kitchen with everything you would need to cook all types of meals. Many spices were available for us to use, plus they also had Tupperware, laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, etc. The closet in the master bedroom had all sorts of great beach items - chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling gear and even a wagon to take everything to the beach! No doubt that this will be the only Villa we will book for future vacations. Thank you Meg, Nicole and Andre for the most wonderful vacation ever!! Don’t book a room cheaply! *Environmental location, next to Wakiki Beach and on the main road, it is very convenient to be connected in all directions. Convenience stores and restaurants, trolly stations, public beaches, and zoos are all very close and within walking distance. *Room facilities, the hotel has a history of a hundred years, so it is very stylish, but the city view room in the Diamond Building is so bad! ! ! ! Not as good as the new 3 star hotel rooms. (Pictured below are the benefits of room upgrade with the Marriott Platinum Card. I booked the cheapest room, but it turned out that booking through a third party did not provide any membership benefits. In the Maui fire, the hotel was full, and I wanted to upgrade temporarily but there was no room). The room is old, with an area of less than 20 square meters. Morning and night, I am woken up either by cars on the road or by the phone in the next room. A very bad experience! * Service, remind the guests to check the bill carefully. After staying for 5 nights, the wrong bill was charged on 4 days. They checked it out one by one when they checked out, and the wrong money was refunded after 4 days. In short, don't try to be cheap when booking a room. The small and shabby room type is not as good as staying in Hyatt or Marriott. The price/performance ratio is too low!

This's my first time booking through ”trip” app. I glad i did. Our room is corner views where we got both the view from diamond head and oceanfront. This's the best experience i have. We arrived at the hotel on a Friday night around 7pm Hawaii time. Didn't expect they were doing fireworks around 8pm. I got to see it right from my window view. Omg.....i was breaking in tears where i haven't experience of fireworks this close before. I wish they allow video reviews in here where i can share my recording of the fireworks to you all. My daily views from my room are the best everyday and night throughout our stay. We walked around the beaches, restaurants and stores around the hotel area everynight before bed. Anyway, thank you for the awesome experience and memories. Love it so much and totally recommend.

First off, we’ve been staying here for 18 years. We love the lagoons and it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We’re the “lay on the beach all day” type of family so this place is our favorite resort. Every room we’ve had through the years has been clean, wonderful views, except one time we had a parking lot view, which was fine since we’re at the beach most of the time. Cons: The pool chair hogs and check out time. They should really implement a system like other resorts. Most chairs are empty all day with a towel saving the spot and no one sitting there for hours. Our one time at the pool, we only got seats later in the afternoon at 3pm. Also check out time at 10am is way too early. Would be nice to check out at noon like other places. Now for the Pros, the resort and lagoons are beautiful. The water is warm, my teenagers like to snorkel at the end of the lagoon. We typically stay in a 1 or 2 bedroom villa, this past stay it was nice to see the Nai’a tower remodeled. Love the full kitchen and in room laundry/dryer. My daughter loves to participate in the daily resort activities - lei making, ti leaf bracelets and temporary tattoos. My son frequents the gym and it is 24 hours. Plus for the peloton bikes! Now for the staff. I love their aloha spirit, so warm and friendly. They are fantastic! I need to give a shout out to Melvin Ratto - Resort Ambassador. I met him in one of our past stays at the cabana hut. We came back another time, he remembered us as well. This past week, he personally came by our beach cabana to say hello! He really is the best, makes sure our stay is comfortable! Shannon at the bell desk is awesome, gave us some food recommendations which was nice. The cabana hut workers Kalai, Nathan, Jordan and Braedon, also super friendly, personable, great guys! Maintaining great attitudes for working in the heat all day. Our housekeeper Melban, very understanding for coming back at a later time to clean our room. Thanks to the staff for making our stay wonderful. We always have a great time staying here and hope to continue coming back.

Review of Alohilani Resort where we stayed for 2 nights! Location: The location is really great. It's right in front of the beach, so it's great to play, swim, and come in from the beach There is also Cheeseburger Paradise, one of the top 3 burger restaurants in Hawaii, right next door. Maguros Spot, famous for its poke, and the famous Musubi restaurant are also nearby. Room condition: Clean, but cleaning is done once every 2 days I already knew about the cleaning part, so there was nothing inconvenient - I stayed here and moved to the next hotel, but they clean it every day! Was it good for nothing? Toothbrushes are not provided separately! I didn't even have slippers, so I brought them to my room. It's quiet, and each room has a balcony, so it's good to dry your swimsuit. Breakfast: Additional tips!!! (One star off because of him!) They said the breakfast was buffet style, so I even paid an extra fee (I thought it was 30 dollars per person). It was the worst breakfast of my life.. They say it's served like that on the weekends.. Give me a plate of fruit and a plate of bread and you're done! You can't choose the price, you have to eat what they give you. If this is the case, even if you go to a nice brunch cafe and eat it, the price is half the price and it would have been much more satisfying. Totally disappointing Additional facilities: Infinity pool is good. The infinity pool is good, and in the evening, do a DJ performance at the bar next door. There is a beam projector on the building side of the pool, and the atmosphere is good. At night, I bought a cocktail at the pub next door and ate it while swimming in the pool. There were many stars in the sky and it felt good. There is an abc store on the 1st floor, so it's convenient, and there's also Kai Coffee, one of Hawaii's top 3 cafes, so I drank one kai latte a day during my stay. Hawaii hotels are all too expensive - The entire stay was very good because I liked the location, facilities, etc. But no matter how much I think about it, the breakfast was too good - deducting one star.
Turtle Bay Resort

The hotel is very nice, the rooms are mostly sea-view rooms facing different directions, as well as small villas. The TV in the room is also very large at least 70 or 80, the bathroom also has two basins, the balcony is comfortable, and the price is high. The hotel restaurant is also very delicious and the atmosphere is good. I chose both of them for two days. The hotel's public area has a wedding area, facing the sea, and the pool is not small. Unfortunately, the water is cold and the sun is still a bit cold, but the foreigners have a good time. The sea area of the hotel is a surfing resort, and it is very comfortable to sit quietly in the sun. At night, the sky is full of stars and is visible to the naked eye, but it is a pity that the mobile phone cannot shoot.
