Bastion Hotel Amsterdam Airport

The environment is great, the location is convenient, and the service is excellent.

The hotel has a very dated, old European style. Service was slow, and the staff were unfriendly. The location is a definite plus, though, with convenient airport bus service available. It's acceptable for a quick business trip, but seriously, don't expect any service – it's practically non-existent. They were also very strict about the 11 AM check-out, with absolutely no flexibility.

Just got off the plane and luckily caught the shuttle bus. The driver was really nice and waited for us. The hotel itself was pretty standard. The room was a bit small and felt a little dusty, but the bathroom was huge! One of the faucets was broken, though. We had to ask the front desk to borrow a kettle. There's a McDonald's right outside, and a bus stop nearby that goes into the city, so overall it's not bad. However, there are no convenience stores nearby, so if you need a late-night snack, you'll have to buy it in the city beforehand.
