Small room with a standard interior. Bathroom could get an update.
Unfortunate noise during the night, I think from the air vent pipes. Not a big issue but not a quite room either, if you are looking for that.

It's just that the room is a bit small, and it's a bit cramped for two people in the attic. The hotel is in a good location, right in the town of Hoorn. The town has a market on weekends, right in front of the hotel. The breakfast provided by the hotel proprietress is amazing. She used to be a chef and sings very well. She is an absolute live show.

I paid €93 for a double room with single occupancy. The room I had did not to my mind bear any resemblance to the room in the pictures. The bedroom was sparse and the bathroom very cold.

What a surprise!!
The hotel is in a great location and the breakfast was one of the best that I have eaten.

The hotel is quirky and the hosts are very friendly but we were given a room at the top of the hotel and there was no shower. There was a bath with a shower hose and there was a slanted ceiling so you couldn’t stand up to use it as a shower. A shower is a basic amenity and we should have been told about this when we booked. So it made our experience unpleasant. If we had been given a room with a shower, then we’d have rated our stay higher.
