The reception was very, very friendly and the treatments (2) were great. The staff were also friendly, but three quarters of the staff didn't understand German very well, which we found unfortunate. When I complained that there was a hair in my starter (last evening), the young lady responded kindly with a nod - and the matter was settled. When I repeated this to one of her colleagues, she received the same reaction - we found that very strange. We had to freeze in our room with an outside temperature of 7°C because the heating was broken (a first for us in a 4* hotel). The food was OK but unfortunately nothing more. The breakfast, however, was very extensive and always very clean and freshly presented - which was great. We probably won't be guests at the Hotel Hopfensee again because we think we can expect more from a 4*.
