"It was Easter 🐣 week so the shop was closed, so I called and they opened the door for me.
The shop is a bar, so it may be crowded on normal days, but I think it's a good idea to check with the staff. Everyone is very friendly and kind, so you can enter the room with peace of mind. The private room is as shown in the photo, and it even has a refrigerator. It was kept clean and very comfortable. It was raining and the outside temperature dropped, but it didn't affect the room. The shared space is the kitchen, shower and toilet, but this shop has been there since the 1800s, so you can feel the history. However, the kitchen has been remade and is induction compatible. I have only ever used gas, but I was able to use it without any problems!
I also decided on this hotel because I was planning to watch a rugby game. It is about a 15-minute walk away, and there are McDonalds and other places, and the street lights are basically on, so I think the security is not a problem.
I highly recommend this hotel over other Doritomi, so please give it a try!

TTomFraenkNice stay in Christchurch. Two nights in the motel with a very friendly and helpful staff. Big advance - the shuttle service from/to the airport with just a few minutes drive. Very good service and availability by call. Room with a big space, very clean. The furniture wasn‘t new, but well maintained and quite clean. It needs around 30 minutes with the bus to the city Center. No convenient stores or shopes close by.

NNanny GloI only stayed 1 night, and I'm relatively new to the South Island. I had to catch the intercity bus and was stressing out I would miss my bus, or go to the wrong bus stop. I went to the office, and after a very patient 12ish minutes (on the lady working in receptions part), she understood what I wanted. She was so lovely. I was waiting until 8am to come and say a huge thank you, but my Uber came early. The heater heated the room up nicely, the pressure of the shower was great. The bed was well made and comfortable. I too am a housekeeper/cleaner and really appreciated coming into a nice, clean environment. If I have anything to say as an improvement, it would be to have a better tea towel. A nothing issue and a $2 fix. I absolutely loved my stay at your motel and highly recommend it.

I had a pleasant stay at **Rosewood Court Motel**. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including a comfortable bed and a small kitchenette. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the parking was convenient.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was also great—close to shops, restaurants, and easy access to the city.
Overall, it’s a good choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.

GGuest UserI have previously stayed in this chain of pod hotels and the one up in Auckland was fantastic and I gave a raving review. Perhaps I got these guys on a bad day but I really felt the service had dropped significantly since my First visit a year and a half ago in Auckland.
The main concern I had was the bathroom was pretty disgusting and something that I would definitely not use. You can see the reasons why in the photos that I will post. Mainly there was here all around the place and a lot of dropped water on the floor old products just in the corner even if they were advertise as free it looked disgusting and could be done in a much clean hygienic way. Just needs a bit more quality management in this area.
perhaps I got them at the end of the weekend with low interest in maintaining clean bathrooms but this was just not good.
My second gripe or concern was that inside the pod the electronics of the light and fan were not visible and I took at least 15 minutes to figure out how to actually turn on off the lights and this was only done eventually by accident by me accidentally touching the panel as the back light of the panel was not functioning therefore it was not easy to determine where to turn the light on and off.
My last gripe was that the door needs to be more effectively managed because it still slamming every time someone goes in and Out likely waking everyone in the pods certainly Juan understands in this type of accommodation you have to put up with a bit of noise but this was a little bit out there at 6 am 7 am in the morning.
So overall, a little disappointed, but for the price point it served its purpose.

CColinZsxIt is 2.5 kilometers from the airport. It is a quiet and clean hotel, suitable as a resting place for self-driving trips.
Hygiene: clean and comfortable, just clean it once every two or three days;
Environment: It is located on the outskirts of the city near the outer ring road and the airport main road. It is very convenient to get in and out of the city and to the airport. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the center of Christchurch, which is not too far. There is a grass park at the corner of the street. It is beautiful to watch the sunset; the environment is great;
Facilities: The facilities are relatively complete. The only drawback is that there are no pots, but they are enough for travel.
Service: The service is very nice. The hosts are a couple and will provide a drink of milk, which will be remembered every time they are cleaned. The store also provides free shutterbus. You can make a reservation one day in advance.
Summary: I had a pleasant stay and it was a perfect ending to my trip to South Island~

It is very convenient to eat. You can also come to the supermarket to buy food and cook for yourself. This hotel has Chinese service.

HHaha205The wifi is limited to 500MB per person, the speed is very slow, and the connection is often disconnected. There is a charity shop and a Chinese noodle restaurant next to it, which is convenient for cooking. There is a gas station next to it. It is not far from the Dahuang Supermarket.

AAdamFriendly reception, easy check in and out. the size of the unit is not huge for 4 people but enough, it has every thing we need , very clean, very thoughtful owner they have everything , the mirrors and hair dryer, power sockets etc at the right place. complete kitchen ware. We had a great time.

GGuest UserA decent hostel in a not-so-far location from the centre. The kitchen and common areas are specious enough and kept clean daily regardless of careless people that were not taught how to clean after themselves. There’s parking available free of charge which is great with an alternative to park on neighbouring streets if full. The beds are not the best, very wobbly and noisy when you turn or tried to climb up. Separate sockets and lights by each bed are great. There are lockers but you need your own bad lock. Staff was polite and friendly.
