Hot Springs Hotels in Minamiaso

We are a couple from Australia and I only speak a little Japanese. This was a truly AMAZING experience! The staff were so kind and friendly, giving us assistance was no issue for them. The location is stunning, the private onsen was glorious and the dinners and breakfasts were bigger than we could possibly eat (and we love our food). The price point for this experience was so good - fantastic value for money. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a little adventure in the heart of countryside Japan. If you get the chance to also visit Minamiaso (they will take you there at no extra charge) for the day, grab some e-bikes and have a ride around- take in the beautiful scenery and wonderful food options.

Before dinner, there was a Japanese drum dance at Kagura dono. It was splendid. It was cold, but it is worth a look. (It is better to confirm only on Saturdays and days.) The dishes were usually delicious. There was a long slope to go to the room away from the mother shop. Drinking around and flapping down! Watch out. It was an inn I wanted to stay again.

Originally wanted to go to Kurokawa Hot Springs, but unfortunately it was too popular. All good hotels were booked. When looking for alternatives, I accidentally noticed Nan'asu Village. Although the popularity is not as loud as Kurokawa, the composite index does not fall at all. In terms of transportation, from Kumamoto to the Toyota Line to the Toyotatsu and then change the same line to the Toyota Station, there are also trains that can go directly to the Toyota Station, but there are not many trains, most of them still to the Toyotatsu, you have to change once. In addition, pay attention to the ic card can not be swiped at the Liye Station, all cards can not be, take the car to Liye Station to remember to buy a bus ticket, do not swipe the card when entering the station. After arriving at Liye Station, change the South Asu Railway. This is a private rail line that focuses on the king of the sea thief. It is very distinctive and the scenery along the way is also very healing. It is a scenic spot. Note that the South Azu Railway can not swipe the card. The back door gets on the bus and gets the coupon. The front door can be paid for. If you don't have change, you can redeem it with the two replacement machines in the car. It is very convenient. The nearest station to the hotel is Baishui Plateau Station (hakusui-kogen). You can contact the hotel in advance for a good time. They can come to the station to pick them up. If you are too troublesome, you also want to walk around and see the scene of rural Japan. Walk to the hotel and take pictures along the way. We took about 1 hour. The second half is a bit tired because it is climbing. In terms of attractions, we went to the color of the net red to see the Kumanozu Shrine. It was a worthwhile trip. The hotel was also very intimate to help pick up and drop off to Baishui Plateau Station. From here, take the tram to Gaosen Station, and then change the production bus to see the ring line. The back mountain of the hotel is actually very good to visit. We found a monument called 16 Luohan on the map. We wanted to explore. Unfortunately, the epidemic has not been maintained for several years. The road up the mountain is broken and we can't go, but the scenery along the way is still good. In terms of dining, the hotel includes two meals, all in the room. The main course has Suuxi roast, small hot pot and steamed beef to choose from. The side dishes include sashimi sashimi, horse meat sashimi, pots, steamed things, etc., which are very rich and taste good. In terms of hot springs, the hotel's feature is that each room has its own private soup, which should be more in line with the preferences of the Chinese, and also suitable for couples to travel. Staying for a few days is basically 3 soaks a day, don't be too comfortable.

The service staff is very kind and one person can speak Chinese. We booked a private hot spring room. The room is very spacious. The private hot spring environment is ok, and it is a bit dark at night. The most appreciated is the public hot springs outside. There are more saunas indoors and outdoors. Very big. There is a soup outside the banquet. Dinner and breakfast are rich and delicious. And the price is cheap, may be a bit old. Overall very satisfied.

There is no hot spring meal now, but it is comfortable to live!

The location was hard to find using both GMap and Waze, you’ll have to lookout for signboards too and a little intuition to find the place. We travelled in a fam of 4, given 2 single beds and 2 sets of futon. There is no washroom in the room and you’ll need to head down to the public bathroom to bathe. Not an issue for us as we were gamed for the onsen. There is an indoor and outdoor space onsen with all the facilities that should be there. As it was at night, couldn’t really see what’s the surrounding at the outdoor onsen but it was huge. The stay came with set Japanese dinner and breakfast and it was a fantastic experience. Kind of like omakase where they serve each type of food one by one. Overall a pleasant stay, good for family. Parking was free and plenty of space.
