"I think it's worth the price. The room is on the first floor, or rather, semi-basement level, so it's dark, but that's what makes it cool. There's no air conditioning, but there's a huge fan. It's sticky, probably covered in grease, and it's quite noisy. There are tissues, a toothbrush, water, and tubes of shampoo and body wash. The nights weren't too hot or too cold, so I slept reasonably well. The sunset visible from the second-floor balcony was also beautiful. There's no laundry service, so I recommend doing your laundry in Thailand before you go."

"The positives - location is right next to the river although a short walk from most of the restaurants / bars etc. Not a huge issue though. The negatives - uninterested staff, dirty area around check in. Hotel run down and room smelt I would suggest looking elsewhere as there are better options available"

"We only stayed for one night to go on the mekong river cruise. However, we could easily have stayed longer. The room was large and comfortable, the hotel is surrounded by good breakfast, lunch and dinner options, and there are a couple of nice little corners in the hotel to hang out, including a little rooftop lounge. The sunset from there was lovely."

"It could be pretty good. Large room, properly equipped, pleasant welcome. But it should be cleaned properly. The bathroom was dirty, the water heater worked very poorly, and there was a lot of mess everywhere in the hotel. The beds were clean, a little firm. It seems to be one of the best hotels in Huay Xai. Very glad I didn't see the others."
