Granny Mouse Country House & Spa
"Truly a relaxing getaway. We stayed in the deluxe suite- lovely views, comfortable room with underfloor heating in the bathroom that was ideal for the cooler weather. Especially enjoyed the window seats in the room- perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. We had breakfast and dinner at The Bistro and received excellent service and delicious food. We requested for our hake at dinner not to be beer battered and to be prepared seperately for religious reasons and the staff were very accommodating. We also visited the spa for a massage. The spa was clean with heated blankets on the massage beds which really elevated the experience. Would definitely return to Granny Mouse for future getaways! The tranquility can't be beaten."
Beacon Vlei Guest Farm
"What a stunning location and beautiful rustic home. Ginormous double bedroom and king bed, spacious living/lounge room and quaint twin room. Well equipped kitchen, just enough room to swing a cat! Made use of the braai area and lush walk around the lake. The view is outstanding! The upmost hospitable host ever! Thank you for our stay, we will be back again soon! Kayleigh & Matthew, UK "
ANEW Hotel Hilton Pietermaritzburg
"Jacked up hotel. Friendly staff, accommodating, good food and good facilities. Been going for 3 years now and will definitely return."
Hilton Bush Lodge & Function Venue
"The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I immediately felt welcomed. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed was especially cozy, and all the amenities were well thought out. It was clear that cleanliness and guest comfort are top priorities here."
The Old Mushroom Farm
"Luvit. On my favourite list of places to stay. Wonderful revamp plan created good vibe while maintaining excellent functionality. Central to all the fun bits around Karkloof. Their breakfast cook makes the best poached eggs, exactly as you order! I like cooking for myself, so the well-appointed kitchen designed around a mighty gas stove went a long way to please. It was rather warm during my stay, so I didn’t get to start up the wood furnace. I can only imagine how cozy that could make the apartment on a chilly evening… Staff: always helpful and friendly. Shops are full of homemade treasures."
Arum Hill Lodge
Bosch Hoek Golf & Lodge
"Room was wonderful. Stunning views directly from the bed. Room was large and luxurious. Food at the restaurant was sensational - dinner and breakfast. Chef was awesome as was Cyril -the restaurant host. He made our stay memorable. "
St Ives Lodge & Venue
"breathtaking views. Rooms were comfortable. Only wish there was an aircon or fan in the lounge as is was over 30 degrees. "
Sunbird Guest House
"Everything inside was nice & clean but outside needs some work. Other than that not bad value for money"

Fordoun Hotel and Spa
"We had a wonderful massage. As someone who is 24 weeks pregnant I was so comfortable and the masseuse kept checking in to make sure I was fine which was amazing. It was also mine and my husbands anniversary and the little extra we received to celebrate was so touching and appreciated! Thank you"
Nutmeg Guest House
"VERY over priced. Coffee - only 2 sachets provided. No option of tea. So either have one before bed or the morning!!! The only form of toileties, was a little round soap in a wrapper and an empty plastic bottle with a label stating "shampoo". Not even hand soap at the basin or a hand towel. Single ply toilet paper looked like rats had been at it. Mats in the bathroom had holes, as did the spare double/queen sized blanket for the single bed. No hairdryer. Electric blanket did not work and temp was around 3°. Thank goodness I had taken my hotwater bottle. Had 3 mis-matched cups, glasses, plates etc. Floor rug could do with a wash. Curtains are really thin and don't block out the lights from outside. Only 1 2-pin plug point in the room. There were various notices stuck with prestick on the walls indicating Rules, Tv guide, don't feed dogs, no smoking etc. Why not put all in a little flip file all in one place?? The single bed was comfortable and there was hot water for a shower. Location is good but needs loads of TLC. Don't think I will be going back any time soon."
Bancroft B&B
"Very clean and hospitable host. We were disappointed that our request for bed type was not met, yet it was confirmed in the reservation confirmation"
Lythwood Lodge
"Accommodation nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the stay. We will make use of Lythwood again"
Rockwood Karkloof Forest Lodge & Mountain Cabin
"We stayed at the Mountain Lodge. It was exactly what we wanted from our stay. Well equipped yet still rustic and off the beaten-track which offered a great opportunity to disconnect from devices and reconnect to the environment. Amazing trails and streams to explore. The complementary wine, rusks, coffee and chocolates were an added bonus. We are already looking at dates next year for a return."
Loxley House
"Communication was very poor leading up to our visit and whilst we were there (even when the cellphone towers were back working) There was no electricity which is no fault of the owners we understand but no extra effort made to accommodate this like a bucket of hot water to wash etc. They knew about the lack of electricity from the day before we arrived and didn’t inform us so we could have planned a bit better we left a day early and again heard nothing from the owner after watsapping them The feeling was one of we were an irritation and they’re actually over the service industry We felt it was expensive for what you got and there are many other places on the midlands more value for money. "
The Nottingham Road Hotel
"We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Notties hotel. Rooms comfy, Staff friendly Meals very tasty."
Rawdons Hotel & Brewery
"Excellent location, a lovely venue set in wonderful surroundings. The service was top class, the food was great and the beer from the on-site brewery was the highlight!"
Crestwood
"Crestwood Estate is a wonderful place ideal for couples or families. It has well appointed accommodation and a great communal area with lounge, fireplace, pool table and a superb outside area with a brass and pool overlooking the valley. Great breakfast and friendly staff."
Hawklee Country House
"We couldn't have asked for anything better. Amazing beautiful place with magestic views and surroundings. The hosts were unbelievably professional and friendly. Rooms were well kept and just what we needed "
