ANEW Hotel Hilton Pietermaritzburg ★★★★
"Booked a corporate client at the hotel for a weekend conference, Client was simply blown away with the hotel standard and service. Excellent value for money and will definitely return."
Beacon Vlei Guest Farm ★★★★
"What a stunning location and beautiful rustic home. Ginormous double bedroom and king bed, spacious living/lounge room and quaint twin room. Well equipped kitchen, just enough room to swing a cat! Made use of the braai area and lush walk around the lake. The view is outstanding! The upmost hospitable host ever! Thank you for our stay, we will be back again soon! Kayleigh & Matthew, UK "
Granny Mouse Country House & Spa ★★★★
"This was our first time here, my boyfriend and I went for aromatherapy massages and were very impressed! They showed us to the change room where there were gowns and slippers waiting for us and once inside the room the ladies that massaged us were very professional, always asking if the pressure was good and if we were comfortable. They even had hot blankets on under the towel so you don’t get cold! They let us choose the oil they massaged us with which i appreciated! An hour is definitely not long enough! We will have to come back another time for a spa package as their prices are very reasonable. They have lovely grounds that you can browse from the parking area (even a little place to take photos that says you’ve been to Granny Mouse) Definitely recommend visiting - Whether its for a stay, spa or to eat at their restaurant!"
Hilton Bush Lodge & Function Venue ★★★
"The bush lodge is nestled just outside of the town and easy to access. The town has your usual shops and offers a few places where you can dine out during your stay and is just off the main freeway. From the moment you arrive at the main gates till you settle into your tastefully furnished cottage, you can feel the charm of the countryside. The views of the misty rolling hills from any part of this well-maintained lodge, especially your rooms and the main facilities are stunning. Take a walk to the waterfall and take it all in and then come back to a heart English breakfast catered for by friendly and caring staff. it's also a fantastic place to host a function or wedding with ample parking and in a secure setting. This place is a must on anyone's bucket list if you love 5 stars treatment in the countryside at a very affordable rate. We will be back, hopefully sooner than later "
The Old Mushroom Farm ★★★★
"The OId Mushroom Farm is a rustic, off the grid apartment. The reimagining of the operating farm into a holiday destination is successful. The addition of retail and entertainment spaces makes for a very pleasant stay. The accommodation is rustic, but comfortable. I have though a warning. The steps to the apartment do not have a rail and may be difficult to navigate for some people. The fireplace is very pleasant but cannot heat the room, which could make for a rather cold stay in winter. "
Fordoun Hotel and Spa ★★★★★
"10/10 spa treatments. Very professional staff. A must do when in the KZN Midlands"
St Ives Lodge & Venue ★★★★
"Had my birthday at this secluded venue on the Meander Beautiful views overlooking the Dam Lots of animals like the Zebra buck an birds The chapel is well designed for weddings The restaurant an hall is well equipped an maintained Staff are excellent an was well coordinated by David"
Biggy Best Boutique Hotel & Self Catering Cottages ★★★
"I booked this stay for corporate clients who were really thrilled with the accommodation. Everything was really comfortable. From my end, I found their service really went above and beyond as the guests were arriving late for check in but their flight was delayed even further and the accommodation actually called to touch base with me to make sure everything ran smoothly which I really appreciated. "
Loxley House ★★★★
"What an amazing experience. Staying in a 4star venue with a 5 star experience. Staff are brilliant and the service exceptional. Pricing is extremely good value for your money. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. The food was truly amazing and special requests were no problem to accommodate for the host, Angie Hunter and her staff. Definitely return to this gem."

Nutmeg Guest House
"VERY over priced. Coffee - only 2 sachets provided. No option of tea. So either have one before bed or the morning!!! The only form of toileties, was a little round soap in a wrapper and an empty plastic bottle with a label stating "shampoo". Not even hand soap at the basin or a hand towel. Single ply toilet paper looked like rats had been at it. Mats in the bathroom had holes, as did the spare double/queen sized blanket for the single bed. No hairdryer. Electric blanket did not work and temp was around 3°. Thank goodness I had taken my hotwater bottle. Had 3 mis-matched cups, glasses, plates etc. Floor rug could do with a wash. Curtains are really thin and don't block out the lights from outside. Only 1 2-pin plug point in the room. There were various notices stuck with prestick on the walls indicating Rules, Tv guide, don't feed dogs, no smoking etc. Why not put all in a little flip file all in one place?? The single bed was comfortable and there was hot water for a shower. Location is good but needs loads of TLC. Don't think I will be going back any time soon."
Bosch Hoek Golf & Lodge
"What a fantastic experience. To stay there and have a round of golf is a truly amazing. The staff and Gareth were always there to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back soon."
Bancroft B&B
"If there is anything you are unsure of you, Tina is happy to help with attention to detail. Staff are very friendly and location could not be better. Thank you"
Lythwood Lodge
"What an amazing place to stay. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, made us feel so at home. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Arrived back to a warm and cosy room every evening with beds turned down and electric blankets on. Can highly recommend a stay at this gem. Wouldnt stay anywhere else."
Gateside Guesthouse
"A comfortable and welcoming stay over the course of the Hilton Arts Festival. Magda was both warm and professional and the rooms are well appointed and cosy - the electric blanket was appreciated!. One suggestion: Place filter water bottles for guests in the room. With a scenic view and tranquil surroundings, Gateside provides a lovely stay in Hilton. "
The Nottingham Road Hotel
"This Hotel still has all the nostalgia of an old country hotel, but with a local vibe that is exceptional.. High focus on customer service, and warm hospitality from the entire team at all times, is guaranteed."
Crestwood
"Crestwood Estate is a wonderful place ideal for couples or families. It has well appointed accommodation and a great communal area with lounge, fireplace, pool table and a superb outside area with a brass and pool overlooking the valley. Great breakfast and friendly staff."
Rockwood Karkloof Forest Lodge & Mountain Cabin
"The location was great — very peaceful and relaxing. Unfortunately, the stay was ruined by a serious rodent problem. The place was infested with rats that appeared regularly. Even after dealing with one, more kept coming out, which made it impossible to feel comfortable."
