ANEW Hotel Hilton Pietermaritzburg ★★★★
"Booked a corporate client at the hotel for a weekend conference, Client was simply blown away with the hotel standard and service. Excellent value for money and will definitely return."
Hilton Bush Lodge & Function Venue ★★★
"I do not participate in reviews unless I want to inform fellow bookers of the false marketing. I LOVED this place and it absolutely deserves a review. !! "
Biggy Best Boutique Hotel & Self Catering Cottages ★★★
"I booked this stay for corporate clients who were really thrilled with the accommodation. Everything was really comfortable. From my end, I found their service really went above and beyond as the guests were arriving late for check in but their flight was delayed even further and the accommodation actually called to touch base with me to make sure everything ran smoothly which I really appreciated. "
Nutmeg Guest House ★★★
"VERY over priced. Coffee - only 2 sachets provided. No option of tea. So either have one before bed or the morning!!! The only form of toileties, was a little round soap in a wrapper and an empty plastic bottle with a label stating "shampoo". Not even hand soap at the basin or a hand towel. Single ply toilet paper looked like rats had been at it. Mats in the bathroom had holes, as did the spare double/queen sized blanket for the single bed. No hairdryer. Electric blanket did not work and temp was around 3°. Thank goodness I had taken my hotwater bottle. Had 3 mis-matched cups, glasses, plates etc. Floor rug could do with a wash. Curtains are really thin and don't block out the lights from outside. Only 1 2-pin plug point in the room. There were various notices stuck with prestick on the walls indicating Rules, Tv guide, don't feed dogs, no smoking etc. Why not put all in a little flip file all in one place?? The single bed was comfortable and there was hot water for a shower. Location is good but needs loads of TLC. Don't think I will be going back any time soon."
Fordoun Hotel and Spa ★★★★★
"We had a wonderful massage. As someone who is 24 weeks pregnant I was so comfortable and the masseuse kept checking in to make sure I was fine which was amazing. It was also mine and my husbands anniversary and the little extra we received to celebrate was so touching and appreciated! Thank you"
The Old Mushroom Farm ★★★★
"Luvit. On my favourite list of places to stay. Wonderful revamp plan created good vibe while maintaining excellent functionality. Central to all the fun bits around Karkloof. Their breakfast cook makes the best poached eggs, exactly as you order! I like cooking for myself, so the well-appointed kitchen designed around a mighty gas stove went a long way to please. It was rather warm during my stay, so I didn’t get to start up the wood furnace. I can only imagine how cozy that could make the apartment on a chilly evening… Staff: always helpful and friendly. Shops are full of homemade treasures."
Rockwood Karkloof Forest Lodge & Mountain Cabin ★★★★
"The location was great — very peaceful and relaxing. Unfortunately, the stay was ruined by a serious rodent problem. The place was infested with rats that appeared regularly. Even after dealing with one, more kept coming out, which made it impossible to feel comfortable."
St Ives Lodge & Venue ★★★★
"Had my birthday at this secluded venue on the Meander Beautiful views overlooking the Dam Lots of animals like the Zebra buck an birds The chapel is well designed for weddings The restaurant an hall is well equipped an maintained Staff are excellent an was well coordinated by David"
Beacon Vlei Guest Farm ★★★★
"What a stunning location and beautiful rustic home. Ginormous double bedroom and king bed, spacious living/lounge room and quaint twin room. Well equipped kitchen, just enough room to swing a cat! Made use of the braai area and lush walk around the lake. The view is outstanding! The upmost hospitable host ever! Thank you for our stay, we will be back again soon! Kayleigh & Matthew, UK "

Rawdons Hotel & Brewery
"it was on the spur of the moment trip packed an overnight bag and decided to head to the midlands for a drive and we were fortunate that we got accommodation for a night at the Rawdon's Hotel Estate. A quaint hotel. A warm reception by Linda, room was cozy and clean. Bar and restaurant were such a vibe on Saturday night with the lovely log fires going. Our Waitresses Xoli and Nonnie were amazing. Service with a smile and so willing to go the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. An Awesome get away"
Lythwood Lodge
"My wife and I just got married at Lythwood Lodge, and what a fantastic experience we had. We stayed at the lodge for 3 nights, and the room we stayed in was simply amazing. All of our guests commented on how well furnished and comfortable the rooms were. The team at Lythwood Lodge was outstanding, with John and Skimbuso leading the way. All the staff members were friendly and very helpful. The food served was of an exceptional standard. We were both extremely impressed with the food, and we had a number of guests complement the food at the wedding. A final shout out to John, who really went above and beyond with helping us plan our wedding day and answering all the questions we had and was on hand to help us get through the weekend with ease. Our thanks to everyone at Lythwood Lodge for an amazing weekend, and one we will never forget! #lythwoodweddings"
Crestwood
"Crestwood Estate is a wonderful place ideal for couples or families. It has well appointed accommodation and a great communal area with lounge, fireplace, pool table and a superb outside area with a brass and pool overlooking the valley. Great breakfast and friendly staff."
The Nottingham Road Hotel
"On arrival the receptionist was most welcoming. I had not been back to Nottingham Road Hotel in twelve years and was pleased it had not lost its grace and charm. I was even more pleased to discover an espresso machine in the restaurant. Thank you."
Bosch Hoek Golf & Lodge
"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A huge thank you to Bosch Hoek Lodge in the Midlands for your incredible service and warm hospitality. From start to finish, the service was absolutely top notch and the food was amazing. For dinner, I ordered the grilled sole and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had! We had an outstanding stay and will most definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special getaway!"
