Stayed here and it was perfect the staff where excellent and I would like to give a special mention to Lucy who could not do enough for us always had a smile on her face and was very helpful.

Hands down the best fish and chips in hoylake, this place is a fantastic pub, great beer garden ..good selection of beer and whiskey, gorgeous food and service is so friendly, shout out to Jim and Katie who served us our food and drink impeccably, Jim carried our bag to our room and gave us the full low down on night time arrangements with staying over, room was clean and cosy and couldn't ask for more for the price. The pub is 70 yards from the beach and 100 yards from the station, plenty to do in hoylake and a fabulous base for a night out.

Very disappointed with the standard of food and service Tempted by 40% off mains deal but this was very selective on menu.Great pie marketed was rock hard and couldn't even get knife through.Eventually replaced when my company had all finished their mains.Long wait for drinks service.Overall not a good experience, won't be going again

We stayed here for 5 nights last week. What a gem of a place. We were golfing at Royal Liverpool which is a short walk away. Our room was clean and spacious. The food was excellent especially the breakfast. A very special mention goes to Karina who made me a special continental breakfast every morning - some days earlier than advertised time as we had early tee times for golf. I have never had that kind of service before in a hotel. Karina is a credit to The Green Lodge - a diamond! The other staff were great as well. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back.

Another great visit here whilst over this way visiting family. Five star service from Karina and the team and the food was yet again on point! I nearly had to get wheeled out of here after the three courses devoured. We will be back again before Christmas for our Festive booking.

Looking forward to a romantic evening meal at our local restaurant. After have a drink in the bar area we went to the restaurant to be seated. The old lady asked us our name 3 times, then pulled a face and walked away. After 5mins she came back and said we could sit in the bar for our meal. We insisted on sitting in the restaurant as we had booked it and didn’t want bar snacks. She pointed to the back of the restaurant by the kitchen doors and said “you can have that one if you want” then walked away! The table was filthy, used glasses, no menus or cutlery. After being ignored for 10mins we walked out, we won’t be back again. Dreadful service!
