Typical 3 star business hotel. The night staff during check in were incredibly rude. Housekeeping is only every 3rd day, except for towels which is daily. The hotel refuses to answer the phone.
If nothing else available, the hotel will do for a night, but only as a last resort. There are many better options available in the area for the price.

Good location with a very japanese style riverside. Clean, tidy room. Just fine breakfast.
However, terrible experience about the staff.
1. We were told the basement parking lot was full that we had to park on the ground level, to load our laggages along with a 2.5 yd girl in the stroller there and to drag them to the basement via the long ramp. While we were having trouble not to jar our little girl, we saw a car slided in the basement and parked there.
2. Next day, we, two adults, one little girl, plus a stroller were lead to a table for only two. As we asked to switch to the nearby sofa dining area, the staff told us that the reservation today was full when there was really no more than 15 persons in the restaurent during our time there.

I forgot to say: they have laundry machines ! Really nice little perk cost 40 ntd for wash (decent size loads) and 8 minutes dryer per 10 ntd.
Gym was so so has the basics.

The room was spacious and cozy. And the hotel is close to the Hsinchu station and centre of the city, so it's easy to reach to markets and shops to get most of the things.

Room was clean and breakfast spread was decent with mixture of asian, western and vegetarian breakfast choices. Check-in and Check-out process were simple and fast.

Hsinchu is one of the least visiting locations but it is very worth to go. I always stay at these hotels when I visit Hsinchu simple and clean
