Xin Yuan Hotel

There was some dust on the whole floor when I checked in, but it wasn't a big deal. The hotel is very close to Jucheng, and the nearby parking lot isn't expensive, which is great. However, the soundproofing is really poor. The people next door were very lively, which made it hard to fall asleep.

For the price, having a bathtub is a definite plus. Although some parts of the room do show their age, like a bit of peeling wallpaper and some stains on the bathroom mirror, everything else was generally fine. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of an on-site parking lot. Even though the parking isn't far, it's an extra expense for overnight stays or longer visits. The staff, however, were very friendly, approachable, and polite. When we had an issue with the TV, they immediately moved us to another room.

I had a fantastic stay at the Xinyuan Business Hotel this time around! The room was spotless and well-maintained, making for a very comfortable experience. The staff were also incredibly friendly and polite. I especially want to recommend the hotpot downstairs – it was absolutely delicious and excellent quality! This place is perfect for a romantic getaway or a holiday. I'll definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance!

I specifically called ahead to request a non-smoking room because my child has bronchitis and allergies. The hotel staff said they would try their best to accommodate us. However, they mentioned that because of shared ventilation, smoke from other rooms might come through the ducts. But when we arrived, it wasn't a ventilation issue at all, like they said on the phone. The entire room, including the bedding, sheets, and blankets, reeked of smoke. We had no choice but to ask for a room change. They moved us to a room right next to the elevator (309), and the elevator kept dinging all night long. Plus, the soundproofing of the door was terrible; I could hear people laughing at jokes as they walked by, and I could even laugh along from inside my room. Honestly, I wouldn't even stay here if it were free.

This was my second stay here, and I chose it again because my first experience was quite good – great location, affordable price, decent in-room facilities, and acceptable front desk service. However, I was a bit disappointed this time, to be honest. Firstly, the room's cleanliness was an issue; the bedding didn't look clean, and some of the bathroom towels were torn. Secondly, the service was lacking. On two separate mornings, we specifically asked the front desk for housekeeping, but when we returned in the evening, the room hadn't been cleaned. The front desk service felt mediocre overall, with only one female staff member being particularly helpful. I'll probably look for a different hotel next time, though if you're prioritizing a low price and a good location, this place is still a viable option.
