Huanyu Garden Hotel

I chose this hotel because of the online reviews, but I'm truly confused now – how did it get such high ratings? Before I even arrived, the butler messaged me asking what kind of pillow I wanted to choose. But when I got there, nothing was prepared. When I asked about it after checking in, they said the butler was too busy and had overlooked it. So why ask me in advance if you're just going to ignore it? Was it just to give me the illusion that your hotel offers attentive service? I stayed for two days, and I have to say their breakfast, especially the beef noodle soup, was actually quite good. The auntie who cooked the noodles was lovely. What I absolutely couldn't stand was the hotel's decor and the pervasive scent – it was just awful. For a 724 RMB two-night stay in a premium room, I felt it wasn't worth it in Huainan. My final takeaway is to stick with branded chain hotels. At least with them, you get what you pay for, with standardized service, so you won't be disappointed.

Junjun was welcoming and efficient, checking in and out quickly, and even recommended local restaurants. The hotel also had excellent soundproofing, making it completely quiet. It's a fantastic value for money and I'd definitely stay here again!
