The main reason for wanting to experience a ”capsule” hotel was to check it out. My elementary school kids loved it, running around in the bunk beds. The single beds were actually quite large and very new. The room was well-planned and detailed; each room had its own charging port, a small light, a cabinet, and even toiletries! The shared bathroom was very clean. The kitchen was accessible on the first floor, so we went to Qixingtan to buy fish to fry at night – it was fantastic! If you arrive at the hotel early, you can ride bicycles and walk to the beach, where there's a heated swimming pool! In the morning, we played cards in the common area on the first floor while listening to music. 👍

The room is bigger than the picture shown on the website. Good location, opposite the hotel has family mart,McDonald and KFC.. walk 3 mins and have breakfast shops. The hotel staff are very friendly.

I stayed here for a few days and can only recommend it! The train and bus stations are just a few steps away, and the city center is within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable, with many thoughtful touches such as free coffee, snacks, and even ice cream!

It was a great stay at HOLA Homestay! We booked the family room for our family of four, and was thrilled when we entered the cosy room on our first day. The balcony was facing the sea and we could see the sunrise from our bed! Before our stay, I already had a very good experience with the owner, who provided 5-star service to me, by helping me to make reservation at a famous restaurant (which only accepts phone reservations) and arrange for transport. He also helped us with the checks on whale watching tours etc. Breakfast was served hot just when we reached and with a spread, including local delicacies like gong zheng bao zi and scallion pancake, freshly roasted coffee, vege and fruits, and even bread and muffins if we wanted more. While we need to walk abit to the nearest 7-11, it was a comfortable walk in this cooling weather, just that it can get a little dark at night. Might still be better to get a taxi if possible. There’s a 055 seafood near the 7-11 which was really gd and frequented by locals too!

Quiet place. May be inaccessible but easy to get taxi. The breakfast choices are good, soybean is extremely awesome! Different from what we had back home in Singapore.

Cleanliness is always a priority for me, and I was pleased to find that Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel did not disappoint in this aspect. The rooms were well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. The convenient location of the hostel was also a major plus, making it easy for me to explore and enjoy everything that Hualien has to offer. It was absolutely fantastic! The host, David, is so kind and helpful in getting to know the island and answering all your questions. You can rent a scooter (including e-scooters, no license required) and explore the island. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition! I would love to come back here again.
