The hotel is about 1.5 km from the station, which is too far to walk with luggage. I walked to the station twice, and it was a decent workout. There's a bus stop nearby, and if you're lucky, a bus will come quickly, but if you miss it, they aren't very frequent. It's a good location for exploring the downtown area, especially the Dongdaemun Night Market, which is less than 1 km away. They offer bicycle rentals, but they're quite worn out. I rode about 25 km round trip to Qixingtan, and the front brake didn't work. When I returned, the tire was flat (I ended up pushing it back the last part of the way). The room itself was clean and tidy. However, for extended stays, while daily cleaning isn't necessary, I thought towel changes and trash collection should be offered. The front desk staff didn't speak Japanese, but they were kind (English was somewhat understood). They even cheered for the Japanese national team during the World Cup. Next to the hotel is a convenient coin laundry. There are also many restaurants nearby, and a Carrefour supermarket one block north, so you can find most necessities. Walking south along Zhongshan Road, you can reach the night market, so it's not too inconvenient. It might have just been my room, but I could hear a lot of noise from the hallway, which could be an issue if you're sensitive to noise. Also, the building across the street was under construction, and I occasionally heard noise from there. I really hope Taroko Gorge recovers soon. (Even if Taroko is too far to visit, Qixingtan is a good distance, so I wish they would maintain the bicycles a bit better for trips like that.)

I've stayed in this hotel room over 20 times. The room is clean and the breakfast is definitely above average, very tasty. The parking facilities are a huge convenience! This hotel has changed its brand name; I had already stayed here many times before the change.

The hotel is about 1.5km from Hualien Station, and a bit tricky to find as it's tucked away in an alley off the main Zhongshan Road. However, a taxi from Hualien Station got me there quickly once I told the driver the hotel name. While the hotel staff don't speak Japanese, they are proficient in English. They are also cheerful and helpful, and use translation apps on their phones to communicate, so any issues can be easily resolved. There's a coin laundry right next to the hotel, which is convenient for washing clothes. The hotel is in a city area with plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets nearby. The room I stayed in had a combined toilet and shower, with only a shower curtain separating them. You need to be careful, as the curtain can easily open and soak the toilet area. (Be warned!) If your plan includes breakfast, you'll receive breakfast tokens (coins) for each person upon check-in. Breakfast is a buffet with a good variety of tasty options. The dining room tables and chairs are made from large, single slabs of wood, which is quite unique for Japan. You're expected to clear your own dishes after eating and place the breakfast tokens in a box by the dining room exit. Next to the hotel lobby, they sell cute deer-themed merchandise like keychains, wallets, and hand towels.
