Holiday Inn Express Baihang (Huangshan Scenic Area Transfer Center)

The hotel is super convenient, located right in the transfer center. No need to rush in the morning; you can just wait inside the center even before it opens. The room also features smart voice control.

This hotel was the highlight of my Huangshan trip! I'd give it 200 out of 100! First off, it truly is the closest hotel to the South Gate scenic area transfer center. The bus station is right outside, just a minute's walk away, so you can sleep in a bit longer in the morning and get back to the hotel quickly after coming down the mountain. About 200 meters down to the right from the hotel's parking lot, you'll find Tangkou Town, where all the restaurants, supermarkets, and specialty shops are concentrated. There are also Zhao Yiming and Haoxianglai, making it convenient to stock up on snacks for your hike up the mountain. While the hotel's facade isn't grand, the rooms were a pleasant surprise. The facilities are brand new, with full smart home integration. The electric toilet and curtains can be voice-controlled via Xiao Du. The air conditioning works great, and the shower pressure is fantastic – really invigorating! The hairdryer isn't some cheap brand; it's quite comfortable to use, feels almost as good as my Dyson. There's even a HUSKY brand mini-fridge in the room, which felt like a nice, unexpected luxury given the apparent high cost of the decor. If I had to find a flaw, it would be that the soundproofing is just okay; you can hear conversations from the next room (though not clearly). However, it gets quiet after midnight, as I assume everyone is considerate and goes to sleep, so I don't see it as a major issue. And for 175, combined with its excellent location, the value for money is incredibly high! I've already recommended it to all my friends, haha! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Huangshan!

This location is absolutely perfect for travelers heading out for an early morning hike at 4 or 5 AM. While others are waiting for the gates to open, you can leisurely stroll to the entrance and get a head start in line – it's incredibly convenient! The hotel's exterior might be a bit unassuming, but the facilities inside are really good. At the very least, it's clean and has plenty of hot water. They also offer free hiking poles and luggage storage. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

The soundproofing isn't great, and the cleanliness is just so-so. However, the hotel's location right by the Huangshan transfer center entrance completely makes up for all its shortcomings. It's incredibly convenient for climbing Huangshan the next morning.
