Xiangyuan Yungu Holiday Hotel

This is my first negative review on Trip.com. The hotel is near the Yungū Cable Car. Considering the inconvenience of going up the mountain, the hygiene and dining standards are far below what you'd expect for the same price at the foot of Mount Huangshan. The room lacked natural light, and the cleanliness was just so-so. The desserts were all pre-made. Overall, the stay was very mediocre. Its biggest selling point is the location, but getting up and down the mountain is incredibly inconvenient. After checking into the hotel, there's basically nothing to do besides hiking Mount Huangshan. The so-called 'hot springs' are just a few small outdoor pools. For food, the hotel restaurant is the only option. The service attitude was inconsistent. I encountered some very enthusiastic staff, both female and male, but also some who were full of complaints and unhelpful. My advice to friends coming to hike Mount Huangshan is to stay at the foot of the mountain, then take the bus up lightly packed in the morning. At least you'll have better accommodation, better food, and more flexibility in your itinerary. Don't waste your money and time here. Mount Huangshan is beautiful, and I'll definitely come again. But as for this hotel, it's definitely on my blacklist.

The hotel's design is very unique. It has a hot spring, so I came prepared with my swimsuit. After a hike, a soak in the hot spring is incredibly relaxing. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, and it's a quick walk from the Yungu cable car exit.

The environment is pretty good, and the service is attentive. When I arrived, there was afternoon tea; dinner was quite substantial. Even though it's in the mountains, the room was very warm. The hygiene conditions were also very good.

This hotel is perfectly located halfway up Mount Huangshan, very close to the Yungu Cable Car. There's also a small geological museum next door, and they offer hot spring services. The hotel provides shuttle service to and from the South Gate of the scenic area. Their noodles and fried rice are both delicious and very generous in portion size.

The staff were all wonderful. My child absolutely loved the room we booked. With the private car transfers and hot spring baths, I felt the overall service offered much better value for money than staying down in the city.

First, for parking, we left our car in the multi-story car park at the base of Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), and the hotel sent a private car to pick us up and drop us off. On the way up, we were lucky enough to see a stunning sea of clouds, fog, and heavy snow. Second, this hotel is reportedly a former state guesthouse that used to host national leaders. It's now operating commercially, so the facilities and amenities are top-notch and can easily meet the standards of most guests. Third, its location halfway up Huangshan Mountain means the air quality and overall environment are absolutely fantastic. It's also conveniently located right next to the mountain's hiking entrance, just a five or six-minute walk away. The Yungu cable car is nearby, but it's currently closed for maintenance. Fourth, the hotel staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. Both the front desk and room service were excellent. Fifth, the hotel has underfloor heating, so it's perfectly warm even in winter. They also have their own hot spring, so remember to pack a swimsuit if you're staying here.
