We attended the Valentines tasting menu evening, with accompanying wine flight. The menu was exceptional - Brioche, Pickled Walnut, Coppa Sea Trout, Pickled Cucumber, Ikura Manor House Venison Salami. Accompanied by Rosé De Saignée Brut, Champagne Virtuous Ale Sourdough & Whipped Pork Butter & Cultured Butter Orkney Scallop, Black Truffle. Granny Smith. Accompanied by Albariño Sobre Lías, Casal Caeiro. Spain 2023 Braised Halibut, Langoustine Velouté, Exmoor Caviar. Accompanied by Sancerre La Croix du Roy, Crochet, Loire, France 2023 Salt Aged Beef Fillet Bourguignonne Accompanied by Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir, Mariborongh. New Zealand 2021 Valrhona Chocolate, Blood Orange, Sea Salt. Accompanied by Tokaji Late Harvest, Oremus, Tokaj, Hungary 2018 Sweet Treats The creative combination of flavours and textures are the hallmark of the Lantern room chef, who always delivers inspirational menus. The staff are attentive, relaxed and friendly without being intrusive. The interior decor is stunning and the setting of the Manor a house is easily accessible but set back from the main road and in a little luxurious world of its own.
