I’ve stayed at The Woodman a few times. I think it’s been renovated recently. It’s a charming location, good food and drinks, quite unique and characterful. We were in an annex room. A bit noisy with the nearby outside door opening and closing and people clumping up and down the stairs. The Woodman is good and can be well recommended locally if you are in that area. A few odd negative things but overall it’s a good place to stay

Lovely pub in a beautiful part of Yorkshire, with several local walks available. Decent amount of free parking, very friendly and helpful staff, and very good value for money. The room was clean, spacious and well lit. The standout feature for us was the food: dinner was spectacular and breakfast was very good too. Cask beers from the local brewery were also high quality. The main issue for us was that the room was a little cold. The radiator in the room was off on arrival, and didn't completely improve the overnight temperature when it was turned on. The quilt on the bed was quite clumpy too, which didn't help. Perhaps Yorkshire folk are hardier than us!

Yes, this place is perfect. Big car park opposite. The whole placed has clearly been recently redecorated and refurnished, the staff are all genuinely friendly, there is a lovely ambience about the place and food is superb. The bar is well stocked (nice to see the unbelievably smooth Madri beer on tap). The rooms are spotlessly clean (try the cottage for two, what a delight), comfy beds and lovely plump pillows. We booked our next visit as soon as we got home from this one! Thoroughly recommended.

Visited with my family for food and drink and it was fantastic ! All the staff are fantastic but I have to single out Nadia who was brilliant she was so welcoming by and friendly ! The beer selection is very good and the food was amazing ! The live music was also very good.

I have visited the woodman on various occasions either through work or socially and I can’t recommend it enough! The staff especially Nádia were absolutely brilliant, professional and could not do enough for us. We will definitely be going back in the future

I had heard lots of good things about the food here so was eager to try, cancelled twice for different reasons, but finally got here in November and Had a lovely meal, looked after by the lovely Nadia, will definitely be back. The woodland gets a big thumbs up

Went for a Sunday dinner with my family & it was delicious! All very fresh & our waitress, Nadia, was amazing! She made sure we were happy with our food, drinks were filled & was professional but chatty & friendly at the same. We will be coming back in the future!
