The room itself is a bit dated. They didn't provide a children's toothbrush for my kid. Considering the nearly 2000 RMB per night price tag, my overall stay experience was just average, primarily due to several issues I encountered starting from check-in:
Firstly, the two front desk staff members seemed unprofessional. When I asked if breakfast could be delivered to the room, they replied with vague answers like 'I'm not sure, I don't really know, maybe not.'
Secondly, when I inquired about the SPA environment – whether it was indoors or outdoors – their response was equally unclear and hesitant. They simply handed me a price list. We upgraded to a villa at the front desk, and the staff there were very helpful – kudos to them. However, I have to strongly criticize the shuttle service. The guy arranging the shuttle organized everyone at the entrance except for our family of three, even though we had a baby with us. This was my first time staying at the Zhonghai Tangquan Hotel. The Huizhou-style architecture and antique room decor created a wonderful ambiance [strong]. This was my second stay at this hotel, and it's been beautifully renovated. It's truly unique with a design full of ancient charm and character. We had a wonderful experience staying here. We were constantly in contact with the staff who went out of their way to help me celebrate my partner’s birthday. I recently stayed at the Stay China Overseas Hot Spring Resort in Huizhou, and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.
A special shout-out to Mary, who went above and beyond for us. She kindly took us by buggy to a restaurant outside the resort – such thoughtful service that made our stay even more enjoyable.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. Everywhere you look, there’s something lovely to see – lush greenery, tranquil paths, and a real sense of serenity. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. I must have taken a hundred photos; every corner is picture-worthy.
The outdoor hot spring areas are fantastic – plenty of pools to choose from, all well-maintained and set in a peaceful natural atmosphere.
