Hotel Moeesy, Blue & Green Oasis

Why would you stay anywhere else??? First time visitor to Hvar and my family and I were blown away by the hospitality from the team at this gem of a hotel. The facilities are beautiful, the staff are so incredibly kind and the food & beverages are phenomenal. The grounds are perfectly manicured and the rooms are clean, comfortable and very well appointed, but the real magic of this lovely property comes from the fantastic people. Every member of the team, from the friendly welcome you receive upon arrival at the dock & check in, to the kind and thoughtful service at every meal (including the charismatic and lively gang at the pool bar), to the thorough and attentive housekeeping team, you know you are in excellent hands. I wish I could list out every staff member who went above and beyond but that would literally involve me listing the names of everyone at the property! However, a special thanks has to be reserved for Kristina. If you want to have the best time ever while on Hvar, do yourself a favour and speak to Kristina, she will listen to your goals and objectives, and not try to push anything on you and then magically develop the best personalized itinerary for you to have a holiday that absolutely exceeds your expectations!! This property is a standout and my family and I can’t wait for our next trip to the Moeesy!!

When you dock in Hvar, you will see there are a seemingly endless number of hotels on the small island. As you make your way around it and away from the hustle and bustle, you will eventually land at the oasis that is the Hotel Moeesy, and what an escape it is. If a low-key, high-scale retreat is what you are seeking, look no further. My family enjoyed a spacious and beautifully appointed sea view suite right off the pool area, which was surprisingly private and serene. From the two small outdoor pools (plus an indoor pool) and bar, it’s just a walk down steps to the beach with complimentary loungers and umbrellas. This was the perfect way to spend a day. A guest for only two nights, I really could have enjoyed a longer stay and can’t imagine a better choice on the island!

We stayed for 2 nights at the Moeesy and had a wonderful time. The room was so comfortable and had a beautiful view of the sea. The pool area was a great place to relax and the food was delicious at both breakfast and the pool bar. The staff are so friendly and warm and helped us so much to feel at home. Highly recommend this hotel just a 10 minute walk from the main town so you get the best of a quiet stay while being close to all the action.

We stayed at Moeesy Hotel for our wedding anniversary, and what made it truly special was Kristina, the concierge. She completely saved the day by resolving a complicated issue with our booking agency—something that could have ruined our trip. She handled it quickly, professionally, and with a smile. Kristina also created a fantastic itinerary for us, filled with amazing recommendations on Hvar and even for our next destination. Her sense of service is unmatched—she truly gets what hospitality is all about. Huge thank you to Kristina and the Moeesy team for making our anniversary unforgettable. 👏👏👏👏

I would give this hotel over 5 stars if I could. The service is incredible. The hotel is modern and incredibly clean, the breakfast buffet is AMAZING, the rooms were great, the pool is nice and the beach access was awesome! From the moment we got off the ferry, we were greeted with someone to take our bags to the hotel. Which is something I didn’t know we needed, but we did. All you have to do is call the hotel a few hours before and let them know what ferry you will be on. The walk from city center to the hotel is about 15 minutes, but it’s pretty right on the ocean and is a beautiful and safe walk. I never felt uncomfortable walking as a female alone to the city. But the thing that stood out was the overall attentiveness and service at this hotel. I’ve never stayed at a hotel with service this good. I’m not kidding. From the front desk, to the maids, to bartenders etc. EVERYONE was amazing. Marco who was the night manager is truly the best person I’ve ever met staying at a hotel. My husband and I looked forward to our nightcaps at the bar so we could chat with Marco. He is the definition of amazing service. He would make us food at any time that we wanted, and would drop anything and everything to make sure the guests are getting the best. We ran into him multiple times while being in the city and he always remembered us. He is a one of a kind person when it comes to service and hotel Moeesy is so so lucky they have him. We would sleep in a little longer and would keep our do not disturb sign on the door, but when we flipped it to need service, the room would be cleaned within the hour. It was truly insane how fast they were. We also used their laundry service and our laundry was done, folded and in our room within a few hours. Breakfast buffet in the morning was the best I’ve had, and Bojan was very attentive and kind. I would put in an omelette order at the buffet and he would insist that I sit down and he will bring it to me. He was constantly checking in on everyone and making sure that everyone had what they needed, and this was a breakfast buffet! He did not have to do that! We will forever remember our incredibly experience here and can’t wait to come back!

If I could rate this hotel a 10/5 it still wouldn’t be enough. We were met at the dock following an hour speed boat journey from Split airport for our luggage to be collected and the hotel is a short 5 minute walk. Kristina and Mia on reception welcomed us and from that moment we felt part of the Moeesy family. The hotel was built in 1929 and was very sympathetically restored a few years ago. The rooms are immaculate and our room had a lovely terrace with comfy furniture. Turn down service every evening. I cannot thank Kristina enough for all her help and advice. No matter how busy she is she takes time to ensure your holiday is amazing, from booking our car hire and sunset sailing cruise to advice on which islands to visit. The breakfast choice is incredible with an egg station and every member of staff being so accommodating and welcoming and nothing ever being too much. We also enjoyed all our chats with Marco on the evening reception and Dyana (sorry if not correct spelling) on the omelette station. We also enjoyed wonderful massage’s which were a gift from the hotel for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is located an easy stroll from the main centre of Hvar and has a beautiful infinity swimming pool and discounted sun loungers on the beach just below the hotel. For us the hotel Moeesy definitely was an oasis and we can’t wait to return to enjoy the Moeesy magic again.
