02/05/22. Dinner 2 persons. Belvedere Restaurant, Royal Plaza Hotel, Ibiza. Even if you are not a resident, you can be sure of exquisite cuisine in this comfortable room without the over-priced, over designed ostentatiousness of other, perhaps more well-known establishments on the island! This is, or should be, a well-guarded secret!… however tonight’s dinner was a revelation… I had a starter of Caprese salad that would do justice to any Italian place… my companion opted for a ‘main’ course of gambas in garlic with egg - a combination I’ve never encountered before! - I will return to savour this dish another day… My main: fish: Dorada fillet. This was cooked to absolute perfection and compliments were duly sent to the kitchen! No room for dessert … but coffees and brandy for me and more cava (gorgeous) which we had started with, for my hostess… The whole evening was a delight and because of a sudden downpour, more residents decided to eat here.. and like us we’re not disappointed… and the prices… well, has to be the best deal in town, considering the quality of the food! Impeccable hotel, the first room had displeased us facing the air conditioning network at the reception we changed it without problem. The meals are varied. Only downside lack of deckchair for everyone. Very attentive bar staff

The hotel was excellent , clean with friendly staff. The position was ideal right on the beach and yet close enough to walk into Ibiza town (15mins) If I have any criticism it would be the pool area is too small with not enough room for proper sun beds only deckchairs. Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms would be nice too.

All the staff were beyond kind and welcoming! My sea view room exceeded my expectations and frankly the view was *chefs kiss*. Pool was incredible. I love how the original windmill tower was preserved and is a beautiful center piece. Laura at the front desk was so knowledge about it when I had asked. Special shout out to Antonio at the pool bar, man was SLANGING SOME BOMB DRINKS while sweating his nuts off working outside during a MF’n heat wave, and always with a pleasant smile on this face! Give that boy a fat bonus! Only 2 things I didn’t like…..the wifi was TRASH, slower than salty snail. Number 2 was that the beds are all small and not very comfortable. ‘Crunchy’ would be the best word to describe the mattresses in my room. Like who opens a high end resort but doesn’t offer a room with a proper queen/king size bed? Hell you could throw of those outside day beds in a room and I would have probably slept better… Anyways, I will 100% be back next year! Thanks for offering a 20% loyalty discount for booking next year, while I was there this year. Absolutely class move on your part! Additionally, the daytime dj in the grass area was mint! Stayed here for 3 nights in June 2022 after we booked through a 3rd party (tripmasters.com). We got here around 1030am and our rooms were ready around 1pm. To kill some time, we followed the water around until we found a place to get some breakfast, and it was perfect since we didn't have a car. We had 2 rooms for 4 people. One was a suite with a balcony, but the balcony was viewless, closed in, and rather hot. The other room had windows, but it seemed to be below street level, so there wasn't a view here either. The location was great for some of the things we were doing on our trip, but far from the sunset spots. During the day we took advantage of the pool and the beaches within walking distance. The lifeguard told us to download the Medusa (jellyfish) app because there had been many jellyfish spotted in the area. The app told us there were a ton, but luckily the water was clear and we were able to spot them and move around them. The pool was big and lovely, but the 2nd and 3rd days there, it was ”broken” I'm not sure what was wrong with it, but on the 2nd day, you weren't allowed in, and on the 3rd day, the water level dropped about 2-3 feet, but you were allowed in. To make up for the inconvenience, the bartenders gave out free waters and boozy drinks. On our 3rd day here, we took advantage of one of the canopy beds for most of the day (we went to Ushuaia the night before!!). We had ordered lunch here and it was SOOOOO good. I wish we got food here everyday, because it was SOOOOOO delicious!!!! The staff were friendly, and the hotel was lovely. It was about a 35 minute and $40 taxi ride to some of the beaches and restaurants on the other side (cala comte & Cafe Mambo).

I found the hotel completely renovated as far as all the common area a couple years back, however the room I got is with purple bed frame headboard and metal bed frame so I think it’s one of the yet upgraded rooms. That said, the room is comfy and clean, and it comes with a balcony and free access to pool and gym. (Spa is not free for hotel guest, 20 euro per 50 minutes). The breakfast was great and it really couldn’t be more central to Ibiza town.

We were met by a very happy reception staff who was singing as we walked in the door - Victor if I remember correctly - and that set the scene for our whole stay. I cannot compliment the staff enough, from bellboy to reception to bar to kitchen and restaurant staff, cleaning staff, every single person we encountered was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It really made a difference to our stay. The location of the Palmyra is perfect, we stayed in the master suite as a treat for our 10 year wedding anniversary, and what a treat it was - what a room! The food choices every day were excellent and everything was fresh and prepared with care and a smile. The inclusive drinks list was more than sufficient for us too. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly be returning in the future.

Go to ibiza to experience the music must-have hotel. Face to face with Hard Rock Hotel, the same boss has different styles. Overall wins hard rock. In addition to the public toilet, if the men's 1m7 or so is best not to try, or return to the room is convenient. Everything was perfect. Drinks etc. Only the food was very disappointing to me, maybe I shouldn't have expected too much from it...

The hotel looks lovely, however it really is style over substance. At least one bar never opens and the wait for service elsewhere can take up to an hour. The rooms are small with only one small drawer and not much hanging space. The showers do not all have frosted glass, so make sure you are sharing with a good friend! The food at breakfast is good. A comprehensive buffet with lots of choice and fresh food, however the service lets it down. Dirty plates are not cleared away promptly and drinks not always offered or replenished. However a special shout out for the omelette and egg chefs, they were awesome and provided great service. With service it is a similar situation by the pool, you can go to the bar, however will be told to return to your sun bed and use the electronic call system, and then wait another half an hour for them to respond. I hired a car for the time I was there, only to find there was a daily charge of 16€ to park there. Something I haven’t come across before. The views from the rooftop are stunning, however again service is awful, with restaurant diners being prioritised over those who just want drinks. They also cannot make a Bloody Mary because it isn’t on their menu! We waited over 20 minutes for a single vodka, so long everyone else had finished their drinks before it arrives. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and the food was fairly good, however the next evening it was not to the same standard. The cost is 26€ for a buffet style meal. All in all, considering the price of the hotel, I would not recommend it to anyone. You also cannot order a taxi, even though they advise you to.
