Grand Yazıcı Club Marmaris Palace

Amazing hotel with amazing staff that went above and beyond for there guests, there is nothing too much trouble for the whole team at the palace. There was an unfortunate fire during the time we were there and during the time the staff from both the palace and the turban made us feel at ease and safe. An extra Thankyou to yigithan from guest relations ❤️ Thankyou so much for all your help and reassurance will definitely be returning ASAP this year. Great work to you all

We had a lovely holiday here last year I was impressed from the word go. Arrived at the hotel late in the evening and it did take a while to register. Our room was close to the lobby and didn't have the best view because of the trees. I had requested two rooms which we got but this was two rooms just divided by some steps, there were meant to be three of us but one didn't come which meant that my daughter and I could have a room each. There was lots of space. We did have an issue with our toilet which got blocked one day and I came back to the room with faces all over the floor. The staff did sort this eventually but took two requests. We loved the hotel itself and was surprised by what it had on offer. The van with bubble tea and milkshakes was a pleasant addition as was the ice cream's which were really high quality. The lady making traditional Turkish patisseries and pancakes was wonderful. There was also a coffee shop type bar which was well received. The pools were freezing so we didn't spend much time in them but went to the indoor spa pool everyday. This could get very busy and the second half of the week was different as a large family party arrived and they literally took over the spa pool and were loud and not pleasant to be around. The jetty was beautiful and snorkelling in the sea was great, joined by lots of fishes. It was very bracing in temperature but once in was fine. Getting around from the hotel was easy, you can walk 10-15 minutes in one direction to get to Icmeler which was quiet and only had a few shops open as we went early in the season at the end of March. In the other direction, about 40 mins of walking you could get to Marmaris. Again we went early in the season so many shops hadn't opened. I didn't appreciate the constant attempts at getting us to buy but it wasn't as bad as some countries I've been to. There is a lovely castle near the dock which was great to look around, some quirky traditional houses to see and great views from the castle. We also went into Marmaris on the bus which you can catch from directly outside the hotel and is very cheap. The food wasn't as plentiful as I'd hoped and was very different to what I've had in other hotels. I felt there was a lack of fresh salads and overall variety, although there was plenty and we always had enough food. The drinks were very hit and miss depending on who served you. The entertainment in the evening was excellent. there was a live band one night which really got the party started with some classic disco songs. The quality of the singing was excellent. One night there were a group of African acrobats which was fantastic and another night a group of traditional Turkish dancers. The quality of the entertainment was high and mostly in the little theatre area onsite which was well worth a visit. Overall this property is lovely, it has some wear and tear but the rustic architecture and furnishings is lovely along with great views added bonus of a Jetty also has a beach, lots of bars, eating areas. Outdoor and indoor sitting areas, staff are welcoming, helpful, food choices are great, and high quality. With more tweets could be better. We a family of 3 visited during October half term we are regulars to Turkey inclusive hotels, 2nd visit in Marmaris so aware of standards. We arrived at 1.30 am the queues were so long to check in only 2 people at Check in, it took 50 minutes to check in not a good start! There was soup in the night which was warm. We were allocated a room in main building on the 4th floor it was opposite the kitchen exhaust and that night due to the noise we hardly got any sleep the room had a un inviting layout only 1 single wardrobe! Next day requested reception for a room change which we got around 1pm. That new room was on the 2nd floor was much better. Outside Property; spotless, big on a slope, lots of pools, 2 bars outdoor, 1 on beach, and 1 indoor gorgeous views of the sea and shaded by trees. Bedroom: spacious, a little dated, small balconies. Bathroom: very small, although do have a double Shower, they definitely need an upgrade, we had a stiff sliding door in both. Food: there is wide choice of options, and you can get burgers and fresh dough pizza from pine bar till 4pm. All the al La cartes closed for end of season on the 31st October. We managed to get a booking for an Italian and that was really nice.they also do nice lunch but did not get to try myself my family did. The main dining area is over 2 halls, however the one serving hot mains was very busy. Out of the 6 nights we had to queue for 4! The first night we queued for 20 mins! I have not experienced this previously at any AI. The food quality was of high quality wide choice. They have ice cream, and Millkshake and bubble tea and patisserie , gozlame,till 4pm. The coffee machine drinks however were really poor! Thank goodness for the coffee shops where they serve real coffee, lattes and flat white, herbal teas all day and evening. the girls working here are all lovely too. Dining staff: not enough staff most of our stay, had to get your own drinks apart from 2 occasions. However if you ask them they will get it for you. Cutlery was always missing had to ask for it. Cleaners: great ladies did a good job each day of cleaning the room. Toiletries: they have 2 dispensers with liquid and 1 for 1 shower gel and shampoo. Bar staff: we spent more time at Pine Bar the staff are all friendly make you feel very welcome. Entertainment/ show: There was 2 shows during our holiday. The Ethiopian dancers werejust amazing and the best I have seen at any AI. The floss dance group was also okay. Other nights it was karaoke, DJ, or music whilst we’re there it was Turkish Republic day but was not celebrated and Halloween was a low key event. Other AI really do

Arrived at midnight, friendly receptionist, buggy took us to our room 582. Great room 2 single beds and bathroom 1 side and double bed and bathroom other side, very clean and modern and lots of room. Room close to amenities if trouble with walking etc. Lovely complex, gorgeous scenery, food is what you expect from an all Inclusive, changed everyday and was ok. Snack bar great and milkshake van Pools were freezing but sea gorgeous, man who looks after jetty will sort you out with beds everyday. Entertainment was good, dont believe all the negatives about this Icemelar is about a 20min walk away, marmaris 40. Get the bus, dead cheap 30l. They accept pounds/euros and lira in the shops. I would return to the hotel at this time of year think it would be too busy in summer. The staff were fine, people need to take into account they have worked a long summer.

Just stayed here for 7 days, can’t fault the hotel or the staff especially Okan (roller skate waiter) who looked after us incredibly well and made us some fabulous cocktails , we will definitely be back again next year. Food and drink was plentiful with some thing to choose from at all times. You won’t go hungry .

An excellent stay. Hotel not quite at its busiest yet but for that reason we had fantastic service from Metinkan and Emine in the 24 hour bar. Made us feel very welcome everytime we came down. The restaurant service staff also made us feel very welcome. Many thanks and would 100% visit this hotel again.
