We loved our room. There was peace and quiet in the beautiful area surrounding the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and there was air conditioning and a roof fan to protect us from the summer heat. The owners and the staff were very kind accommodating and helpful throughout our stay! There was also a small kitchen in our room and we could prepare our meals and snacks. There was a nespresso coffee machine for our first coffee. Also our room had two balconies that we enjoyed a lot as one offered shade in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Everything was very clean. We loved it and will be coming back!

If you like something older-style, then this is for you, if not, look elsewhere.
Somewhat difficult to get to (by car) and not in walking distance of anything. It is quite remote, if you like that kind of thing.
The bathroom was very small and not comfortable at all.
A very steep and narrow staircase leading to upstairs was not easy to navigate.
Downstairs had no air conditioning, just natural air ventilation. If you leave the main door or windows open, you'll have the resident wild cats come in.
Good parking on-site and a very nice pool and the on-site people are very nice.

Having travelled extensively in Greece we can say this was the best accommodation of its type we have experienced. We were there for 3 nights only and it was joyous. It was unusual, but exceptional, in terms of building and concept and our suite had absolutely stunning views to Samos, Fournoi and Patmos. The pool was a welcome and excellent bonus. Our breakfasts were outstanding. Shower had good pressure. Wi-Fi good. Room had a fan and air con. Room was beautifully dressed. And, it would be remiss not to comment upon the warm, welcoming and most excellent contribution of Eri the complex ‘manager’ who simply could not have been more generous with her time and helpful. There is nothing to dislike about this accommodation. However, the ‘village’ is a fair way ‘up’ and whilst it is walkable down to Agios and back ( we did it twice in one day) it is a struggle. Certainly I wouldn’t want to lug suitcases up there and it isn’t for those with mobility issue. And don’t try it in high heels ! Taxis can be booked (€5 one way) to/from Agios and the harbour but are difficult to get at night and so you if you go down in the evening be prepared to struggle back up. However, food can be easily ordered ( from 3+ restaurants in. Agios) and will be delivered to your accommodation’s door. Ikarian wine, Ikarian beers and bottled water can be bought from reception. If you stay for any length of time you probably need a car.

Après Patmos nous avons visité Ikaria. Nous n'avons pas loué de voiture et nous nous sommes déplacés en bus et en voiture. Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Superbe complex composé de différents appartements, situé en haut de la colline à Agios Kirikos. Éri nous a chaleureusement accueilli. Elle a organisé le pick-up au départ du port. Petit-déjeuner sympa sur plateau à consommer sur la terrace de l'appartement en profitant de la magnifique vue sur mer. Piscine petite mais très agréable. Pyrgos est un joli havre de paix. Descendre en ville à pied approx 10min. Remonter un peu plus dure car assez raide et beaucoup d'escaliers mais ça vaut la peine. La récompense vous attends en haut avec une superbe vue et la tranquillité.

Bel hôtel un peu à l’écart.
Séjour de 4 nuits. Belle chambre dans petit complexe d’habitats individuels de type traditionnel. Très bon confort. Petit déjeuner en option, bon mais un peu cher. Piscine agréable. Attention, la route pour rejoindre l’hotel est très mauvaise depuis le village. Rouler TRÈS lentement et prudemment. Excellent accueil.

Μείναμε στο pyrgos-villas 8-14 Ιουλίου… τα δωμάτια εξαιρετικά, με γουστο& ποιότητα, φτιαγμένα με μεράκι… καθαρα.. ως εδώ καλά!!! Η κακη μας εμπειρία ήτανε με την υπεύθυνη υποδοχής την οποία είχαμε ενημερώσει με email από 24/6 για την ακριβή ώρα άφιξης & αναχώρησης μας ( βάσει του πλοίου μας) Κατά την άφιξη μας ξημερώματα 8 προς 9 Ιουλίου… δεν ασχολήθηκε καθόλου… & την άλλη μέρα μας έκανε παρατήρηση γιατί δεν την ξυπνήσαμε….!!! Όσο για την αναχώρηση μας η οποία ήτανε στις 8 το βραδυ( λόγω πλοίου)… πήγαμε το πρωί της τελευταίας μέρας 14 Ιουλίου να την εξοφλήσουμε & μας είπε ότι πρέπει να φύγουμε στις 12 το μεσημέρι & ήταν ανένδοτη ότι δεν μπορεί να μας εξυπηρετήσει…. Βρεθήκαμε σε πολύ δυσάρεστη κατάσταση. & ψάχναμε να βρούμε άλλο ξενοδοχείο για τις υπόλοιπες 6 ωρες που έμεναν μεχρι να έλθει το πλοίο μας….σημειωτέον οτι η booking έδειχνε ότι υπάρχει διαθεσιμότητα δωματίων… έτσι αμαυρώθηκε η εμπειρία μας στην Ικαρια με την ταλαιπωρία που υποστήκαμε…. Απ ότι μάθαμε στο πλοίο από τους υπόλοιπους τουρίστες που επιβιβαστήκαμε… κανείς δεν είχε ανάλογη κακή εμπειρία όπως εμεις.. το pyrgos villas είχε την .. αποκλειστικότητα!!!!! Όσο δε για την υπόλοιπη παροχή υπηρεσιών … η reception ήταν συνήθως κλειστή… λείπανε όλοι… μάλλον τελικά τους .. ενοχλούσαμε με την παρουσία μας!!!! Για τα υπόλοιπα που φαίνεται ότι προσφέρονται….ούτε λόγος!!!!

Έχουμε κακές αναμνήσεις από την διαμονή μας σ αυτό το ξενοδοχείο .. υποστηκαμε πολλή ταλαιπωρία!!! Δεν υπήρχε η διάθεση εξυπηρέτησης ..δεν υπήρχε reception...εκτός λίγων ωρών το πρωί.!!!!!. Λειτουργεί σαν ενοικιαζόμενα δωμάτια Rbnb με τιμές όμως ακριβου ξεν/χειου στην Ικαρία...ενώ είναι οι εγκαταστάσεις ωραίες... Δεν θα ήθελα να ξαναπάω...!!!!
