It's been a while since I have written a review, although I visit twice yearly. What can I say, this wonderful coastal retreat has truly become my happy place and has helped me through some very difficult and sad times over the past four years. I usually come solo and I just love being able to switch off completely and just immerse myself in the my surroundings and the atmosphere. Being so close to the sea is just so calming and special. I spend many hours sitting either inside or outside just watching the sea and people come and go, whilst having a good glass of wine. I stay in hut number 4, which to me is the best one as you are not even a stones throw from the beach and the sea. Yes, they are small, but perfect for me, and have everything you need for your stay. I am always warm as the heating is great and the hut is always very clean and inviting and the shower is brilliant. The area is also great for walking and cycling and there are plenty of places to eat and drink, the local pub which is a two minute walk away does great food too. I know there have been some negative reviews but as a regular to the site, you get to know which huts suit you and at the end of the day, they are beach huts and close to the sea that obviously get battered by the elements so they're not going to be high end boutique style. But if you are after having somewhere cosy and warm to escape to from the hum drum of daily life then come here, you won't be disappointed. I have even started cold water swimming after watching many ladies go for a dip in the sea every morning and evening and I can't wait to come back in April for some more rest and relaxation at my happy place. Thank you for being there for me it really holds a special place in my heart!
