It's been a while since I have written a review, although I visit twice yearly. What can I say, this wonderful coastal retreat has truly become my happy place and has helped me through some very difficult and sad times over the past four years. I usually come solo and I just love being able to switch off completely and just immerse myself in the my surroundings and the atmosphere. Being so close to the sea is just so calming and special. I spend many hours sitting either inside or outside just watching the sea and people come and go, whilst having a good glass of wine. I stay in hut number 4, which to me is the best one as you are not even a stones throw from the beach and the sea. Yes, they are small, but perfect for me, and have everything you need for your stay. I am always warm as the heating is great and the hut is always very clean and inviting and the shower is brilliant. The area is also great for walking and cycling and there are plenty of places to eat and drink, the local pub which is a two minute walk away does great food too. I know there have been some negative reviews but as a regular to the site, you get to know which huts suit you and at the end of the day, they are beach huts and close to the sea that obviously get battered by the elements so they're not going to be high end boutique style. But if you are after having somewhere cosy and warm to escape to from the hum drum of daily life then come here, you won't be disappointed. I have even started cold water swimming after watching many ladies go for a dip in the sea every morning and evening and I can't wait to come back in April for some more rest and relaxation at my happy place. Thank you for being there for me it really holds a special place in my heart!

A fantastic 3-day break in one of the lodges with a hot tub. Stunning lodge, very clean and cosy with superb views over the beach. The location is really good and there's plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. I'd highly recommend booking up, and we'll definitely be returning.

This was our 4th trip to Beach Cove so we are familiar with most of the styles of lodge they offer. We booked Wrinklewood Premier Sea View for an important birthday week. On arrival we were allocated Lodge #1. Due to frosted glass this lodge does not have a sea view from the outside seating area. (The view from inside is as advertised but you dont go away in September to sit indooors all day!). The seating area is also tiny compared to other lodges. With the table and 2 chairs there wasnt enough room for the dog to turn around. Inside the lodge looks very tired and is in need of some TLC. There were stains in the fridge and shelves were missing. The mirror in the bathroom is delaminated and looks like it should belong in a cheap B&B. The website advertised a lovely looking victorian style iron bed, but actualy had a nasty looking cheap devan in there. One of the blinds was broken and the curtain rail fell on my partners head when she adjusted the curtains. The hot tub cover was held together with duct tape but worse than that was the terribly applied frosting to the glass door. Not only could you not see out from the seating area you couldnt look out of the door either. On visiting reception to discuss the lack of sea view the lady there knew exactly what I was going to say even before I opened my mouth so this is clearly an issue that has been raised many times before. Their solution was to put a chair at the top of the steps if you want to see the sea!! Having felt like we were sold a "dud" we packed up and came home the same day. That week cost £1009.00. After Hoseasons passed my complaint on to the owners who acknowledged the issue We were offered only a 25% refund. So after our week was ruined by this lodge being miss represented on the website our day trip to Beach Cove has cost me £774.00. We were once loyal customers of Beach Cove but due to the appauling way in which our legitimate complaint has been handled we will be taking our custom elsewhere.

Location,Hot tube was amazing. Hut was a little bit dated, fridge wouldn't shut properly and wasn't cold enough and no way to adjust the temperature. Bathroom and shower was tiny if your are over a size 18 don't bother you won't fit in the bathroom at Hut number 7 for the money you are paying for a 3 night stay waste of time.

Just back from a lovely week in the so called dreaded no 1 and have to say what a great improvement no more frosting on the entrance doors and a new fence with chairs positioned to look out over the sea inside was a fantastic view even treated to seeing a seal bobbing about in the sea and a horse and rider riding the beach at sunset, yes the mirror still has water damage and the drawer bottom is worn but that’s nothing at all to think about. The staff on site were helpful and friendly can’t fault them or the location just sit in the hot tub and relax perfect!

Booked Winklewood Premier , Chalet 15 we got ! On a car park ! Hot tub had absolutely no privacy at all , as you are perched on the car park right in front . The main road is directly behind you, and you have the joy of the bin store near you ! We were told by the staff that Chalet 15 is the worst , why is listed as a premier accommodation, which is clearly is not ! We will never ever return !

Honestly one of the most stunning places we have ever stayed at. Perfect location, perfect views, comfortable and clean accommodation. Wish we could have stayed at the Loft for longer than 3 nights. Reception accommodated our late check in. We were left alone in peace and tranquility all weekend. Quiet spot with little noise, apart from the sound of waves crashing against the shore - beautiful. Great spot for walks to local areas. So worth the 6/7 hour drive. We will be back. Hopefully very soon.

Have just stayed here for the last week. I booked it not realising it was really a couples retreat 🫣 but as it was just me and my son it wasn’t a problem- I brought a blow up mattress for him. The chalet was lovely. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. So cosy and the most spectacular views. By Thursday I had already booked again to come back in October and if I’m completely honest I think I’ll come back here year after year (if that’s ok with them) The beach is less than a two minute walk away and Ilfracombe is about five minutes away. We can’t wait to return later in the year- I’ve chosen to try one of the front ones to get an uninterrupted view of the sea ♥️
