Hotel Aoki ★★

📍 3495 Arai, Ina

"The location was bad, and upon arrival, I had to pay an additional 400 yen for sheets and heating. The Wi-Fi didn't work properly in the room. I also had to change the sheets myself, including the duvet and pillows. I never want to go back."

Hotel Ina ★★

📍 3492-13 Arai, Ina

"In the evening of the day I stayed there, there were marks around my neck that looked like insect bites. There were probably mites on the pillow or bedding, and there were marks on my neck. If it gets worse, I will negotiate with the hotel."

📍 9000 Tomikata, Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, Ina

"I was able to run on the forest road to the top. It is inferior to Jinmagatayama, but I am satisfied with the super view of Ina Valley. Unlike the mineral springs that the country says, it is disappointing due to the boiling circulation of mountain water. Although it is not as good as kaiseki, rock fish did not come out of the only local dish in the inn. I think the pottan toilet, heavy futon, blankets and steep stairs are severe for the elderly. The lady general will take care of you if you are tired of urban life."

SA Inn Ina Nice Road

SA Inn Ina Nice Road ★★★

📍 Sa Inn Ina Nice Road, 3032-1, Ina

"I stayed at this hotel while participating in a two-day cycling race. The facilities were relatively new and the stay was comfortable. However, the check-in time was incorrect. When I arrived just before the stated check-in time of 2 PM, I was told it was after 4 PM, which was a bit of a hassle. Since I checked in early, I skipped the venue's showers, thinking I could take a bath, but the person in question was riding in the pouring rain and got dirty and soaked. My parents were supporting me without umbrellas, so their clothes were soaked and muddy... I was riding in the cold and extremely hungry, but I couldn't go to a restaurant in that condition, so I was planning to go eat after taking a bath, which was really awful. I was so cold and shivering that I couldn't stop, so I went to a convenience store to buy something warm, and then I got a call from the management company, who said they would advance my check-in time. It was a relief, but it took a lot of time and effort... I was glad I was able to check in about an hour earlier than 4 PM, but my plans had changed and it was difficult, so I would appreciate it if you would use the correct time in the future."

Hotel Aoki ★★
"I booked this room the day before my uncle's sudden death. This was the only hotel I could find with a twin room available (my elderly mother can only get up in bed). Our room was on the third floor, and the elevator was broken, making it difficult for my mother to climb the stairs. There were no handrails on the stairs, so I lamented the lack of one. It rained until the early hours of the morning, and the sound of the rain hitting the building was unbelievable. Doors slamming as people from other rooms entered and exited the building was loud, like a clang! It was chilly at dawn, so I turned on the floor-standing air conditioner, which was labeled "heating and cooling," but it only blew out air. I decided to warm up in the large bath, which is open 24 hours a day, but when I went to the second floor, the lights were off and it was pitch black! There was no phone from the room to reach the front desk, so I called the phone number, but it went to voicemail. There was an announcement saying to call here (on your cell phone) in case of an emergency, so I called and told them, "You'll have to call a technician." When I said, "So you can't get in," they said, "Yes!" I asked them to let me know when it was fixed, but they didn't. (About an hour and a half later, I went up to the second floor to check, and the lights were on.) There were electric carpets over the beds, probably because the heating wasn't working, but one of them didn't work. There was no apology for all the problems, and they just said, "It can't be helped." I had no choice but to give up. With the weather getting colder, it'll be impossible without heating. It seemed like they weren't even interested in repairing the elevator. Even budget hotels should at least have a system in place to welcome guests. Unless you're prepared for all sorts of things to happen, I recommend avoiding this place. I posted this in the hopes that it will be helpful."

"I liked that the women's large bath only opens when you enter a pin number. I'm also happy that breakfast is included. The exterior looked old, but the inside was nicer than I expected."

"The blankets and futons were laid out upside down with a dust mite extermination device still stuck in them. I was in the room when they came to clean it, but they opened the door without knocking. Basically, there's no one at the front desk, so they don't know if you're out or not."

"The Wi-Fi was terrible, the food was so-so, showering was inconvenient and I almost caught a cold, and the hairdryer was awful – the airflow was weak and it just blew steam instead of hot air. Don't stay here in winter. The room was reasonably clean, the location was good, and the service was good. The Mitsubishi air conditioner was very quiet, which was a plus."
