After opening the door, he knocked once more before formally entering. At that moment, I felt reassured. It turns out that a standardized knock and a simple announcement can rebuild shattered trust. This isn't just service; it's the hotel's fundamental respect for people. This feeling of being respected permeated my entire stay. The monk fruit tea personally served by the front desk, the handwritten card next to the welcome fruit, and the Angelica tea before bed all felt warm and thoughtful. Even the housekeeping auntie who brought buckwheat pillows in the evening was all smiles. Here, you don't feel like a hotel guest; you feel more like you've arrived at the home of a cherished friend. Besides the warm and attentive front desk staff, what impressed me most was the F&B supervisor. When I ordered my second coffee, an Americano, she gently confirmed: ”You had a sugar-free latte earlier, didn't you?” I was surprised that she remembered my preference after serving so many guests. When my Guilin rice noodles were ready, she specifically came over to tell me, ”Please come over to add your condiments.” Upon check-out, she even proactively asked, ”Did you sleep well last night? Is there anything you needed in the room?” Accustomed to the rigid departmental divisions of large hotels, this cross-departmental, meticulous care was truly unexpected. I noticed during breakfast that all the servers wore transparent masks. This ensured hygiene without hindering their friendly smiles and clear voices. All the subsequent observations, whether it was the consistently neat bottled water in the elevator or the carefully arranged green mangoes on the breakfast buffet, made me feel that the operation went far beyond merely replenishing food and drinks. Admittedly, considering the prices in Guilin during the off-season, this small hotel with Li River views is not inexpensive, and its facilities are comparable to many standardized chain hotels. However, when respect for people, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to standards are presented so genuinely, what it offers is an experience that far exceeds its hardware specifications."

"The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to Elephant Trunk Hill and the pedestrian street. It's easy to find food and go shopping nearby, and there's a Jinsunchang chain store about 200 meters away where you can buy local specialties. The front desk recommended A Gan Restaurant next door, which was surprisingly delicious and not expensive at all. Too bad there isn't one in Beijing... I have to give a shout-out to the hotel staff; everyone was very dedicated. The front desk patiently gave us travel tips and warm reminders, and even helped carry our luggage to the room. We could also message them on WeChat with any questions. In the evening, the hotel offered sweet soup and roasted sweet potatoes. I highly recommend the roasted sweet potatoes – soft, sticky, and sweet, though the taro sweet soup was also great. The breakfast was plentiful, and right outside the dining hall on the 9th floor was a rooftop with an Instagram-worthy infinity pool that offers stunning views of Guilin's mountains and rivers. Eating breakfast while enjoying the scenery was truly invigorating. The coffee was an unexpected bonus; a staff member even made me an Orange C Americano, just how I like it, and I could take it to go. Since it was the last day of our trip, we had accumulated a lot of dirty laundry, so finding out the hotel had washing machines and dryers was a lifesaver. The hotel thoughtfully provided laundry detergent and disinfectant, and even proactively helped put our clothes in the dryer after they were washed. I can honestly say every staff member made us feel like family. Even though we only stayed for one day, the experience was fantastic. Before we left, the front desk noticed I liked Wogan oranges and even packed some for me. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a curtain between the bathtub and the bed. Otherwise, it's hard to enjoy the bathtub with kids around~"

"This hotel boasts an excellent location right in the city center, nestled within Zijiang Park and adjacent to the Li River. It offers panoramic views of Elephant Trunk Hill directly across the river. The hotel environment is quiet with fresh air, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. There's an independent parking lot, and the shuttle buggies are readily available on call, which is very convenient. Our room was spotless and tidy, and the family room even thoughtfully provided two plush toys for the kids."

"This was my second visit to Guilin. I originally planned to come with my best friend, but she had a last-minute emergency and arrived a day late. So, I changed my twin room to an Executive King Room with a view upon arrival. Good thing I did! The moment I walked into the room, I was captivated by the expansive view of the Jiatianxia Exhibition Center Plaza outside the window – it was truly stunning. There was also a fruit platter on the table, which was a nice touch. My habit over the years of staying in hotels is to first check out every corner of the room. This room felt a bit spacious for just one person, honestly. The hygiene was excellent – clean, tidy, and comfortable, with complete facilities. The layout was very well-designed, with separate areas for the toilet, shower, and bathtub, a great example of dry-wet separation. Thumbs up! 👍 Every time I stay in a hotel, I worry about soundproofing, the comfort of the mattress and pillows, and whether the duvet will be too heavy. I have to say, none of those usual concerns materialized this time, and I had a very pleasant stay. There was no noticeable noise from the corridor outside the door or from outside the window. I was particularly satisfied with the comfort of the pillows, and the duvet had just the right thickness, allowing me to sleep soundly all night. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and the surrounding area offers convenient dining, entertainment, and shopping options. Transportation is also very accessible. For this price point, the service was unexpectedly good. As soon as I checked in, the concierge added me on WeChat and recommended nearby attractions and the hotel's floor usage. In the evening, the concierge even thoughtfully delivered chrysanthemum, goji berry, and monk fruit tea. Nice! 👍 When I booked the room, I noticed the hotel had an infinity pool, so I specifically brought my swimsuit. What truly amazed me was the mountain view from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the pool. Surrounded by mountains, it reminded me a bit of the 'A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains' painting. It’s perfect for photo enthusiasts to check in. The pool water quality was excellent 👍 and the temperature was just right – 28 degrees in winter, and the staff said it's 26 degrees in summer, strictly adhering to national constant-temperature pool standards. 👍 Plus, the ceiling is transparent glass, so on sunny days, it’s wonderfully warm. If the weather is good, not only can you swim surrounded by mountains, but you can also enjoy a spectacular sunset. I absolutely love this pool! Unfortunately, today the sun was hidden by clouds. I swam for a while, then paused to watch the sunset, and didn't even realize it was dinner time until I felt distinctly hungry. Then, reluctantly, I went off to find food. Oh, and there's also a gym next to the pool with several treadmills, chest press machines, lat pulldown machines, a leg extension machine, and plate-loaded dumbbells, catering to fitness enthusiasts and weightlifters. There's also a separate laundry room with washers and dryers. Guilin's weather can be humid, and on rainy days, doing laundry without drying it really isn't an option. Having a wash and dry room is incredibly convenient – a very thoughtful design. Personally, I find that most hotel breakfasts, apart from five-star hotels, are just 'good enough.' However, this hotel's breakfast was quite good for its category, with a rich and diverse selection, including freshly made Guilin rice noodles and oil tea. Western breakfast options were also available, making for a very satisfying meal. Traveler tip: The pool and gym hours are from 7 AM to 9 PM. Friendly suggestion: It would be even better if a small packet of wet wipes were provided in the guest room bathroom!"

"Facilities: The room was quite well-equipped, including a bathtub, but you had to ask for a bathtub mat from customer service; it wasn't available in the room. Complimentary drinks and snacks were provided, but they weren't automatically restocked for consecutive stays. There was a small balcony for drying clothes, which was nice. Breakfast was just okay, filling. Osmanthus Culture Experience Museum Tickets: Well, this one was really unnecessary. I was generally quite happy with the hotel, but this place lowered my rating. The DIY osmanthus cakes I paid for were a complete bummer. They gave you six pieces, and you had to press them yourself, for 58 yuan. Buying a box of osmanthus cakes would have been much better, and the DIY ones were even more fragrant. It's hard to describe. This hotel is the place to stay, and avoid any other expenses, as they'll be a major downgrade. Service: The front desk lady was nice, but the lady at the museum was quite impatient. The hotel was generally okay."

"I brought my grandchild here, and we're super happy with this hotel! There's a 100-square-meter kids' play area on the first floor, and a carousel that's free for all guests. It's really close to all the attractions, only about a five-minute walk to Elephant Trunk Hill. I'm incredibly satisfied with this hotel. I highly recommend everyone stay here! There are also several claw machines on the first floor, and the front desk service is fantastic. I absolutely love everything about this place. Definitely a five-star review!"

The most delightful surprise of this trip was undoubtedly the Governor's Mansion's century-old guesthouse! The moment I stepped out of the car, I was captivated by the ancient charm of the grey-brick and dark-tiled architecture. Pushing open the heavy wooden door, the fresh scent of wood mingled with the greenery of the courtyard, enveloping me. The carved window frames and mottled walls whispered tales of time; every casual photo looked like a scene from a movie. My stay far exceeded expectations. The old building perfectly preserved its original charm, yet the rooms were fully equipped with modern, rustic luxury amenities: smart toilets, projectors, and independent bathtubs were all present. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and falling asleep to the sound of wind rustling through the leaves at night was both peaceful and therapeutic. The service was incredibly attentive; the butler contacted me in advance to confirm my itinerary, proactively helped with my luggage, and patiently recommended local hidden gems and authentic cuisine. Breakfast featured freshly made local specialties, like handmade rice noodles paired with homemade pickled vegetables – the ingredients were fresh and delicious. In the afternoon, I relaxed in the courtyard, sipping tea and daydreaming, watching the sunlight filter through the leaves onto the bluestone slabs. A sense of tranquility, far from the city's hustle and bustle, naturally arose. It's perfect for both couples on vacation and friends gathering. I've already recommended it to everyone I know and will definitely be back for a second visit!"
